That's why he said not 100% recovery. Lots of other losses, too.
They easily could, but batteries are the expensive part. They can't get the range at the price point they require, so they cheap out.
Pretty good idea, but... the corrosion happens at all points, not just the connector. For me it is usually the ground connections. And, seeing how many trailers lose only one side of their lights, I think that is more common than connector issues.
When storing trailers I pack the connector...
I have a 12v fridge/freezer in the minivan for grocery shopping. Will be transferring it to the Cybertruck.
12v/120v fridge/freezer
I tried two Dometics first, neither worked. One leaked oil, one the 12v wouldn't work. The Whynter is working great. YMMV
(I got a big one, smaller do cost...
Yeah, but ...
I'm the one who posted that line, and I don't know nuthin'. It was said to temper enthusiasm being shown by people thinking their RN# was the end-all / be-all.
Credit Unions are usually best for auto loans. Then banks, then finance companies. Tesla has, I believe, a finance company they can recommend, but Tesla offers no financing itself.
And, I know what you mean, but you pay before delivery, not after. ;) (<--attempt at humor)
No one can estimate dates yet, just guesses. Your RN# just gives your relative place in line. Kind of. Well, maybe. :D
Your 'place in line' is about 65,000. If Tesla builds 10,000 in 2021 and ramps up quickly, you should be in 1st half of 2022.
If they build Giga Texas for the Cybertruck...
Makes sense, but as they will be working their way down from most profitable configuration to least, I wouldn't expect a "tradesman" configuration for three to four years after first deliveries.
The number they show looks like it was severely rounded to keep it simple. The 112,744,100 is based on an observed number here, though they XX'd out the final two numbers, so I put in 00, so it is also rounded for simplicity. Just less severely. :geek:
I think it is simply a marketing term. Would a battery guaranteed to get 950,000 miles qualify as a "million mile" battery?
In the lab they've proved it is reasonable that it could be done in a vehicle. But they haven't actually done it in a vehicle (as far as I know).
When the time comes...
In the only test I saw (YT video of smart summon), it would stop for small traffic cones, but just ran over cups of water.
For more precise answers I think you will have to wait and see.
Do we really have any reason to believe the tambour cover is made of stainless? How would they form the slats to interconnect... wouldn't be able to stamp them.
A tutorial! Great idea. Probably some on YouTube... think I'll go check. :)
Okay, try this tutorial. It answers your shifting questions. Simple, but good info.
Thanks for suggesting that, I now know more than I did!
The order page on Tesla site currently says the exact same thing for dual and tri - production expected late 2021. Single in 2022.
But I can find nothing to suggest tri will be first. I expect dual and tri to be basically concurrent.
