I used 'A Better Route Planner to figure a ballpark. A 13% charge (11 minutes) shows as $7.41 (68 cents per minute). 13% is very close to 1/8, so 0 to 100% (at this rate) would be about $59.
Seems really high, but that is what I get. Anybody want to check my numbers?
Adding FSD at this point doesn't cost you anything. When the time comes to configure your vehicle you can decide whether to keep it or not. So for those on a budget I'd say single motor with FSD, then drop the FSD later if it still doesn't fit the budget.
Quite the opposite! My floor is covered with sand and small gravel. Every entrance to the vehicle tracks in more.
Why clean it? Vacuum once in a while (in my case about once a year) is plenty.
It's on your Tesla account page. Free to set up if you have not done so, yet. (set up here)
You must use same email as you used when ordering is only caveat.
Tesla matches your reservation to your account by the email. So, if you created the account with the same email you used to place the reservation, it should appear. At least mine did, so that is all I know about that.
If you used a different email to reserve, create a new account with that...
Several folks on here talk about putting their Cybertruck on Robotaxi duty. There's no supervision other than a camera. Won't these vehicles be trashed? I don't care for traveling by bus because they are usually rundown (does not apply to private tour buses).
Getting paid for otherwise idle...
Oregon has a program (OReGO) that tracks mileage (I think OBDll, but maybe GPS, no info here). Registration is much more if you don't use it. Currently pay 17 cents per mile with lower registration if you do use it. Only calc I saw said about 6,500 miles to break-even.
Just a bit hypocritical, I'd say. Trailers don't pay highway taxes, either.
I understand Oregon's "EV registration fee penalty in lieu of gas taxes" is double California's. And that's whether you drive it or not!
Tesla doesn't seem to have as many options and trim levels as most car companies.
But the best way to get a feel for what the options might be is to go through the online 'custom order' configuration for an existing model on Tesla's website.
Upgrades may include:
# of motors
longer range
more...
Add Intimidator and Polaris to that. But they are all 48 volt. Polaris only offered Lithium for 1 year, all they offer now is 48v also.
These are the SxS equivalent of a Fiat EV. I want the Cybertruck of SxS's. :D
As usual, government and it's laws are murky. It is clear there is available a retention fee that can be paid to keep personalized plates that are not assigned to a vehicle.
But on further research it appears that may only available at renewal time (CVC 5016(c)).
It may be necessary to assign...
