I think that no matter what it comes with, within two years something 'new & improved' will be offered.
That's just the way it is. As you have experienced.
MCU3 is a real possibility by then.
Although replaced as VW CEO he is still in charge of all other brands it looks loke. So no big deal? Or might this affect VW's EV plans?

Federal approval isn't what you need to worry about causing delays. Tesla just can't make it work yet.
Not picking on Tesla, NO one can make it work yet.
And four years to complete implementation is way optimistic.
And no on any warranty beyond normal.
1) If you don't want to gamble, do...
Also, it isn't just the Cybertrucks. There are over 200 Tesla stores worldwide (about 100 in US). To reach any kind of acceptable saturation rate how many test rides must be offered? We're talking 5,000 test rides just for reservation holders PER STORE!
How many NEW employees would it take...
Also, since they can clearly sell every one they make in the beginning, it is unlikely they will prioritize making any for their own inventory. I expect thousands will be sold before the first test drives are offered.
But the iPhone directly competed with Nokia and Motorola products. The Cybertruck does not compete with anything Ford produces.
Tesla may be considered direct competition to Ford; the Cybertruck not so much.
Conclusion: clickbait. :)
Elon first posted his poll for Texas. Now he has broadened the search.
I think initial talks with Texas went along the lines of them telling him to 'take a hike'. Could easily be wrong, but I don't think Texas is in the running anymore. :cautious:
(not claiming I know anything)
In a way, that is true (range, anyway). At 500 miles possible range, losing 100 miles is a "so what" in many cases. Now a Leaf, with 76 miles range losing 15 miles (approx. 20%) could mean the difference between making your round trip to work or being stranded.
Range anxiety ain't what it...
Are you trolling us? Consumer Reports has Tesla Model 3 as a "Top 10" vehicle to buy!

Tesla historically keeps progress fairly secret. We'll know how well Gigafactory is progressing (if and when) but not vehicle production. Guesses will be available out the wazoo if that will help satisfy. :p
Oversimplification. Trucks are general purpose, meaning my needs and yours may not match. So, it is not possible to engineer it to meet both our needs.
Simple aftermarket products exist for that reason.
That was said based on earlier rollouts, but if you base it on how the Y rollout is being handled (apparently, since it hasn't happened yet) then the model you choose may be more important than region.
Looks like they want to produce a single version of the Y at first to maximize early delivery...
