If the entire world is wiped out, sure!
Not at all, just the number of people who have had the virus. Only a small percentage with lower immunities will be unlucky = I.e. don’t spread it to your parents/grandparents/cancer patients/asthmatics etc. The key point being that there are no symptoms for~5 days but you’re still spreading it.

Elon is now busy helping out the nation developing medical instruments like respirators. Tesla donated a lot of masks, respirators, etc...to the state of California and the nations hospitals. Once this crisis is gone, I am sure that Tesla will pick up the pace. The company now needs our support to go through this period by keeping its stock at a good level and hope that US employees will go back to work soon. we all are in this together and hope that we will live to tell.

"Tesla must obey the “shelter in place” order put into place in the San Francisco Bay Area and is not allowed to build new cars at its Fremont factory, according to the Alameda County Sheriff’s office."

They are allowed essential operations like payroll.

Shutting down will likely delay Cybertruck. Unless engineers are running CAD/CAM at home on their laptops.
Funny that you added that last line. As a long-time CAD guy, I can assure you that they ARE running that software at home. However I don't think it will help much to keep the assembly line running. ;)

The guest thinks start of production may be delayed to start early 2022.

You guys agree or think it might not be delayed, or maybe delayed even later than early 2022?

Definitely delayed. Pro, I should have enough saved up to buy it cash. Con, I hope my damn truck makes it one more year as that's how far I except the delay

Agree with the delay. Definitely more time to save up money. I also feel that by the time it’s ready to be produced, the waiting list will be over a million.

I disagree. I have heard that the construction industry is deemed essential. My brother is a plumber and said he still goes to work every day. A friend of mine is an electrician and he is also going to work every day. Truckers are essential so deliveries can still be made. They're early enough in the process. In my opinion, what would be a sign is if Tesla's timeline was to break ground on some date and that date slips. Does anyone know what the date is for Tesla to break ground on the new Gigafactory?

Tesla hasn't decided on a location for the Cybertruck Gigafactory yet so I'm not sure they have a break ground date planned already. At least not one they've shared publicly.

Very reasonable reply - The Gigafactory groundbreaking will be the next major milestone.

Yup, in fact my wife has told me "only if you can pay cash". (I think she's hoping that would stop me from getting it.).
