I don't see the pandemic crap altering the Cyber production Timeline at all...unless it is to advance it.

Knowing this is one of Elon's most favourite projects I'm thinking there won't be much that can delay its production. I fully expect a surprise announcement like the Model Y when CT starts coming off the factory line sooner than originally slated.

A stimulus reduction offset price off the vehicle for the consumers?

I agree. Cybertruck is Elon’s baby and he will instruct his team to make production happen sooner than was announced. I expect a Cybertruck factory location announcement to me made soon via a Tweet.

Here's my thought: Cybertruck orders are a tank full of demand, like a pressure accumulator. If there is ever a "softening" of demand for S 3 X Y, then all Tesla has to do is tap into the Cybertruck queue to keep their production high. In order to do that, Tesla needs to put some priority on figuring out how to build CT either in its to-be-built Gigafactory Texas, or in Freemont--probably not an easy task, given the unique tooling and machine required for the steel exoskeleton.

Let's say the FUD-sters are right at some point (doubt it) and demand softens for EVs, then Freemont and Nevada start building out battery packs and other parts to be shipped to Giga Texas where CT production goes into overdrive.

I think CT removes any doubt that Tesla will always work at capacity to satisfy orders. We'll never see a Tesla commercial, because Tesla will never have to stimulate demand.

Ok take the "price" aspect to another thread...we got plenty of room for it.
As to Cyber timing....
I am concerned. A plant site hasn't been established. Even the Chinese would take a year to build it...in good ol 'merica a minimum of 16 months, probably 18 till "fully operational."
When was it stated the first Cybers would be delivered?

Hasn't been established that we know of, the Chinese Giga factory is not fully operational right now either (insert death star quote :D). Yet it is still cranking out 3000+ cars a week. Definitely be built in stages. I would be willing to wager Phase one focuses on Cybertruck production with the second phase getting built out for the Model 3/Y and so on. Even the Fremont factory seems ever increasing in size and production capacity.

The COVID-19 impact to the Cybertruck at this point is mostly in selecting a location for the factory. If Tesla was going to take another 2 months to select a location anyway, it won't affect the timeline. If Tesla can't start the process till the pandemic has run it's first course, then, it could delay things for a couple of months. I don't think this will affect the timeline much at all though. In fact, this COULD speed things up as some people will probably (unfortunately) be looking for work following COVID-19 shut-downs and Tesla will be hiring. Further, there could be construction jobs that won't start because there isn't enough season to get them finished before the weather gets too cold again which could mean a bigger pool of resources for Tesla to pull from. Pure guess? Of course. But, it's a better than zero percent chance.

How would the timeline be advanced due to the pandemic? I think most of us would be thrilled if production timeline wasn't delayed at all.
More of the people that have to figure out what site to buy are available to get hands-on.
