If they were actively building the factory or line i think it wold be an issue, but they just arent at that point yet. Think about all of the things that are still happening despite workforces working remotely. Selecting of a location is still happening, negotiations/permitting/etc are still happening. Engineers are still designing the tooling need for this vehicle (though i believe to tooling is significantly LESS than any other vehicle produced today.) Other engineers are still working on the design of the CT. Prototyping is about the only thing that cant happen right now, and as with Space-X, I think Tesla will have no problem making up ground there. People keep forgetting they are making this vehicle with a simple design and able to have it fly off the assembly line at a fast rate. (highly automated assembly, as few touch points as possible)
I agree, price can be another thread, but I personally dont see them changing the price. If they are sitting on 600K orders, there are still 2 years of people in that list that can afford to purchase and will purchase despite others' economic challenges. I think you will just see people sitting on their reservation numbers a bit longer is all.
