Mine is only getting dust, mud and scratches applied to the outside. Inside will get lots of tint. My jury is still out on a bed mat to cut down of things sliding around in the bed.

My personal choices would be

1. Partial wrap, a red stripe on the driver's side, or completely red main body with a black frunk

2. Floor mats

3. Window tint

I would normally go more in-depth than that but there's already so much functionality here and not much that can be improved until we see what the factory options are.

I will be adding a electric tint to side windows and sun roof. Those who dont know, electric tint is where with flick of a switch, tint turns to opaque or transparent. I like to have glass transparent in winter so sun can keep the car warm and summer the glass stays opaque so sun don't heat it up. I installed it in my current F450 in 2017 and it works like a charm. Only downside is it uses battery so if I don't drive my truck for 2 weeks like when on vacation, I have to jump start the truck. This will be solved with CT as it will stay plugged in.

I'm not familiar with "electric tint" and it sounds interesting. (Of course, you'd have to always switch to transparent when driving.)

Where is this done (presumably in Toronto), how long does it take, and what is the cost?

Motorized running boards would be the worst thing to put on this truck as they are so unreliable and adds complexity to manufacturing. Not to mention the truck will probably lower itself for ingress/egress. It lowers to get in the back so it wouldn't be impossible to implement.

I was thinking the same thing - I have retractable running boards on my current truck and they are needed and are awesome - but with the ct being able to lower upon park and exit I dont see the need for them at all - think. they said 6-8"'s of air susp travel...I'll. get them if needed but dont want them if not

elec tint cool, but my m3p oem roof window sun screens work perfect and less complex/no bat drain
behind rear wheel external storage - most trucks this is dead space and could be useful
good design/layout for bed 220v/110v - eg multiple outlets at least for 110v/better design than shown on pics - eg lid opening up looked dysfunctional; put external solar inputs same place, maybe 12v so can jump others
bumper steps in rear - like my gmc, very useful
biometric or facial recognition or numeric keypad for access without iPhone/card - eg in a pinch
better door handles than model 3 - only thing I dont like about my m3p
external boombox speaker like m3...maybe upgrade the speaker
robust horn worthy of the CT

But getting back to this "Electric Tint" first mentioned by piperwarrior99, in Post 22 of this thread:
just yesterday Mister Quirksandfeatures reviewed a 2006 Maybach 62 which has a sunroof which includes the LCD dimming glass.
At the 24:10 timestamp it also shows a solar panel in the sunroof. I'd bet the power from that panel is being used for more things than Doug thinks.

These are very similar to the LCD screen you see nowadays in solar-operated calculators... a lot of thermostats use them....They've been around since the early 70's. It's a tiny flat crystal that flips 90 degrees when current is applied, allowing light to pass. (or not pass, depending on initial state.)
LCD's use a relatively small amount of power in thier ON state.
But please don't put them on your front windows because if there is any fault in the system you instantly become blinded.

This may have been mentioned but you get these as film with a small cable in the corner too. We’re going to have the dark type for the full height windows in a new part of the house, and milky white in the plant growing (orangerie) part. With opposite no-voltage state.

Wouldn’t look good DIY-ing the cables on a truck though, so it would be neat as a feature of the roof.

So you're saying it's impossible for the circuit to become energized when it's not supposed to be energized. I'm sure you can get it to ninety-nine point several more nines percent reliable, but that one time out of a trillion that it becomes non-reliable it's a death sentence if traveling at speed. I actually agree with you, you could do it and get away with it. But if ten million people do it, sooner or later somebody is going to pay for the failure with their very life.
Never in a million years is it going to pass any type of regulation, and that's what counts. That's why there are no commercial products on the market designed for this purpose.
The question to ask is not "could" you do it? It's "should" you do it? And the answer is NO. You should not.

Becoming blinded is a thing that can happen from systems already in the vehicle. Look, the hood could pop at any moment and block your view. Another truck could pass and dump muck or snow on your windshield.

Not necessarily the top 3 among all buyers but, because my CT will sit outside in the Florida sun, these are the 3 modifications I'd be getting:

1) depending on Tesla window heat barrier solution, extra Ceramic tint and an interior removable roof glass visor/ cover
2) a quality outdoor car cover
3) depending on Tesla wheel options, an aftermarket wheel and tire package to achieve a look similar to this:

evenness may be helping out with this....they have a great cover for the Model S.....snug and keeps car clean and dry
