I was under the impression that the camera is at the peak of the roof. just above the head of the driver under the beam. Looking through the glass above the passengers head. Above the bed cover. I think being on the tailgate is a problem in many ways, such as tailgates down or how far is the...
Really nice work, well thought out. But one question. I was under the impression that the review mirror was a camera place at the peak of the roof (just about the drivers head). With none on the doors, would this work with the cameras, would this kill the self driving mode?
there is a reason you dont see them out there. the tweel has strips of rubber to support the tire and rocks can get stuck in that area making the tire unbalanced at high speeds,
People have talked about the hardware they would want on the truck. Like solar panels to winches. But what software would you want on the truck?
Tesla if you are listening...
For me,
I would love software that had a crawl mode that I could set the speed.
Also in that thought a crawl mode...
I was thinking about what if you attached a webbing strap around the tire, anchored at a hole in the wheel (lie you would tire chains or cables). if you could get the wheel to spin slowly enough, the motor has more than enough torque to work. opinion?
I was just wondering if you have or could try low-e film. it reflects uv rays and I know the glass has it. I think it can cut temps 60 percent. Thanks for testing and posting results!!!!
I was thinking the same thing. long road trips in the CT and around small towns in the zero. thinking of camping in the bed or towing a small airstream with a couple of power walls and solar on the roof.
But crissa is right, you are depending a wish and a prayer. Maybe a super cap might get it done, But batteries nope. Just like flying cars really will never take off (no pun) because cars are heavy and durable vs planes that are light and fragile. Can a car fly sure, Can a plane drive on the...
I think Elon just love Syd mead work. a yoke is great in a airplane but a truck, no way. First time you have to make a u turn and there is no place to put your hand on the yoke.
I like the idea. of rivets along the edges and ww2 plane nose art (like of Betty Grable). also remember with so many trucks out there all looking the same. your going to want yours too look different. come out from the mall and have 12 trucks and there is nothing to tell them a part?
I would like to ask if anyone has any ideas on how the CT will do in crash tests. if it has such a strong outer body, how will they have crumple zones?
I am just guessing here, but I think they would make the battery packs smaller. same range (that they figured they needed for a reason) but lighter car =faster and lighter car=less batteries to get same range. but for Tesla. less batteries more profit.
I said this before, but the honda element the seats fold back and the toyota matrix the seats fold forward and lay completely flat. as far as the mid gate, I dont think it could happen as the roll up cover is going to be under the back seat. just guessing but it limited on where it is going to be.
