Would be very handy for the tradesman who carrys heavy loads. On and off would be a breeze without risking your back!

I'm never going to have to lift the lawnmower off or on. I can easily put a snowblower on. I'm very excited for the ramp gate

Bolt on / off might be the best way

Indeed, provided the load has wheels to enable you to roll it up the ramp.... but even then, my wood splitter would be quite awkward without it. A lifting tailgate brings safety and convenience.

I've gotten every girl working at Bare Assets(way over 3.500lbs) into my bed on more than one occasion and it was easy (with enough hun'red dollah bills.).
(I can dream too.)

Dunno if you will see this as a factory option. i would not be surprised if you see aftermarket units that would not even have to be bolt on...could take advantage of the T rails in the bed for easy slide in installation and plug into the power outlet.

Yes, that could well work, but pity about having to lug around the extra weight of the duplicated structural elements required. I still vote for an integrated solution.
