Engineering Explained: If Gas cars are banned, Can The Grid Handle Electric Cars?

You need permits to get solar installed (legally anyway). That is how the utility knows the size of system you are getting. So they won't approve the permit for a system over 5kW. Now it is true I could do 1/2 off-grid and 1/2 grid tied. But then I would need two breaker panels without any...

Who's planning on a Cybertruck factory pickup / delivery

Tesla delivery charge is a fixed amount wherever you have it delivered. It will still be charged for factory pickup. Check with current Tesla owners who picked up in Fremont.

Engineering Explained: If Gas cars are banned, Can The Grid Handle Electric Cars?

Not if local utilities have anything to say about it. Our utility won't let us install more than 5kW. Not even enough to cover our daily use most of the year. They're fighting solar on homes tooth and nail. Mostly with forcing of EV rates that are higher. Eventually I expect them to lose. But...

Cybertruck’s Yoke-Style Steering Wheel Revealed by Way of Model S and X Updated Interiors?!

I tried driving today as if my car had the yoke. Turns out that in my Sienna it is quite uncomfortable for 3 main reasons: 1) my steering wheel is still too round, so I have too twist my wrist to have my palm touch the wheel 2) at 9 and 3 (instead of accustomed 10 and 2) my hands both feel like...

BTC billionaire Tim Draper to Elon Musk: I'd buy the Tesla Cybertruck with Bitcoin

Not surprisingly, the headline is exactly opposite of what the quoted person actually said. He doesn't want to buy the CT with Bitcoin, he wants Elon to let others do so (tthrough his company).

    stainless steel laser engraving

And HOW do we know how long it takes? :sneaky: It isn't so much the acquisition cost if you believe this could be a popular option. To make money though you need to exceed operational costs and amortized capital equipment costs. So, how much do laser etchers cost to run?

I like the ID.Buzz (probably same timeframe). But I want a pickup, not (another) van, so CT for me!

Will CyberTruck get the Yoke Steering

Not me you misunderstood, Dids, so no prob! I still thought the bottom was discontinuous. Better pictures prove me wrong. Good thing FSD will be along soon, my mind may be too far gone for driving otherwise! Of all the things I've lost in my life, I miss my mind the most.

Cybertruck design & engineering complete. First deliveries still this year.

I don't see how they could do that. The structural pack they use will only fit one form factor of battery.

Prototype had open yokes, this one is a continuous shape, even if not a round shape.
