Cybertruck Roof Dome

Cybertruck's roof dome will obviously be very voluminous due to CT's form. I believe Elon stated that roof top light will be standard on all variants. Obviously there will be interior dome lights, but I wonder what else will be housed in that dome (any other electronics, WiFi antenna, elements of HVAC). Just trying to start a speculative discussion here.

I still would hope that some method could be engineered that would enable the tonneau cover to be withdrawn up into that space instead of curling down behind the back seat. That way, the cover could be used as a sun shield when parked in Arizona and would allow my dog free rein of the cab. Plus, it'd make the vault more usable and spacious. I think it'd be beneficial for camping also. But hey, I know, I know, the tonneau cover is too wide to do what I want. sigh...

I have the model 3, the glass roof let's minimal light in. My dog and children have no issue with it. Go take a test drive in one, they are fantastic. And if you feel its still somehow too much you can buy blackout shades, I'm sure they will be available for CT. At or shortly after launch.

I just hope they carve out some space for a built-in Starlink Dish that's flush with the existing roofline but somehow still connects. I'd give up a bit of that view for the privilege as it really would only block the view when looking straight up while in the front row. It would be a bit more obvious in the back row, but screw them. Lol

Well, you could always adhese some flexible solar cells up there. Especially if they allow us to tap into whatever system they're using to feed to solar option to charge the battery ^-^

I do not believe the starlink dish itself moves. It is, if I remember correctly, a phased array antenna and components within the dish "move" while the entire dish stays stationary (unless of course it is on a moving platform like a ship, plane, or truck)

The dome lights on the prototype were LED strips located above each door. I bet that will carry over to production.

I highly doubt any HVAC ducts will run that high. Perhaps an antenna or two.

I think the bird cage in the Model X is most similar. You’re going to have a rear view mirror, camera cluster. Your visors will attach on either side to the A pillars. And that’s about all I expect to see above the screen. Gotta have a hazard light button mounted somewhere.
