Hi people, I was watching the CT unveil for the thousandth time and noticed something. When the truck went into loading mode (raises front while lowering back) to load the ATV, It seemed like the body raised above half of the wheel. Wouldn't that mean that it has portal axels? It's slight but I'm pretty sure I'm right. Here's the photo:

When Tesla releases all the spec's they will have portal axles.

Do we know if that was a duel motor or a 1 motor rear wheel drive truck? I think the prototype was only rear wheel drive... thats why when they did the tug of war with the Ford it was only in rear drive.

Im not sure you know what a portal axle is ? the cybertruck is independent suspension front and rear.

Anywho, I got a close picture of the front knuckles when I saw it in person in july. They appear to be made of stainless or polished aluminum which caught my eye.

HMMWV and Hummer H1 have an Independent Suspension with helical gear-reduction hubs similar to portal axles.

I consider a portal axle the old school unimog solid axle, and those as hub drop boxes ??‍♂ either way, if the cybertruck has those.... I'll be even more excited!

Well, it's not unlike Tesla to come up with something different that works as well as portal axles.

But whatever they have it will be awesome I'm sure?

BTW, we need a Cybertruck emoji

Nah I don't think so, extra complications and cost in manufacturing + the photo just looks like pretty typical IFS for a 4WD vehicle.
