If the CT is built in Texas would it not make logical sense to fill orders closest to the assembly plant?

I shouldn't be regionally bumped unless Tesla tells a person ahead of me their truck is ready and that person says (somehow), "sorry, it's too far away--hold it for me."
I found this :

Keeping in mind the rollout will be regional, so your position in line is only good for your rollout region."

Just a thought. TEXAS may just be sitting in the rocking chair, the envy of the rest of us.

Cool. I live near Austin. I hope he puts the Giga Factory between Austin and San Antonio. I could ride an electric bike to pick it up.

Yeah, but ...

I'm the one who posted that line, and I don't know nuthin'. It was said to temper enthusiasm being shown by people thinking their RN# was the end-all / be-all.

Haha o_O :ROFLMAO::unsure: If I had an order for single motor CT, $10k be damned!!!... I would've already changed the order to a dual or tri motor. I'm assuming Tesla will probably stick to what they've said so far?

RN# Tri-motor Q4 2021-
RN# Dual-motor Q4 2021-
RN# Single-motor Q3 or 4 2022-

Texas........3rd most populated State (plenty of employees to fill positions)
Texas....... High numbers of Engineers (needed for GF4 design, manufacturing, assembly etc....)
Texas.......plenty of sunshine for solar on the factory roof.
Texas........did I forget to mention that people in Texas love their trucks! (Plenty of Cyber customers )
Sounds like a win win situation.
In regards to the naysayers concerning laws and dealers association crap, the hell with them, Elon and the people of Texas will make it happen. Vote the bums out of office!

Regardless of plant location it would be wise of Tesla to deliver the CT to all regions equally to get the CT seen on the streets of every city. Marketing the CT all over the place at once.

how is Tesla determining what region you're in using the cyber truck reservation? Did they track IP address or are they using the area code from your phone number? as far as I can remember they didn't ask for address to make the reservation?

You think if I just hang out at the factory every day, they'll get so sick 'n tired of seeing my face, they'll just say "Allright, just give him his truck so he'll get the f*@# outta here? Just saying...

I've been thinking about this. Tesla doesn't advertise. If they want more people seeing the Cybertruck in person, they'll spread out the first deliveries probably throughout the biggest truck markets. That way, WE will be their advertising force. It wouldn't make sense to send the first 100,000 to southern California because for that year it takes to make that many, nobody else will be seeing the trucks. No, it makes more sense to sprinkle them throughout the US first to get that advertising started. I'm hoping they do this and that they need me to represent Nebraska early on!

Pretty sure you can't see a cybertruck in a giant corn field.

LOL. It's going to stand out, that's for sure! And hey, 468,000 people in Omaha! (only 20,000 in Papillion where I live which is really close to Omaha)
