It is rumored that the Cyber Truck will use the up coming million mile battery, however we will not know until it is officially announced.

I believe that there are Tesla S's out on the road that have gone over 300,000 miles, and if I recall an S that just celebrated a 1,000,000 KM, of course there are others that have already had their batteries replaced due to early degradation.

Model S 1'000'000 Miles (Car)
CT 2'000'000 Miles (car)

Current batteries might have to be changed once or twice. A dead battery is not a totaled car.

Life expectency For the Long Range Model S is around 500'000 km. Degradation below 30 %. But it is as it is. If you stress your battery it won't lanst that long.

9 years, 7 months, 8 days, 4 hours, 15 minutes and 20 seconds. That's just a guess, of course, but it is as good as any other you will see all of which are, at this point, based on what a colleague used to call "bold extrapolation".

Does anyone know what the criteria Tesla is using for the 1,000,000 mile battery rating is? What I mean is, a million miles based on how much its driven, frequency, state of charge and discharge between cycles, stuff like that. If one was to drive a 100,000 miles a year, and the battery last 10 years, there's the million miles. But I'm making a presumption that the rating is not based on 100,000 miles a year use.

No and that's why my estimate in #4 is just as good.

CT trim Torrance, projected 500+ miles per charge, 400 at 80% - 10% to not drain battery to 0. 1,000,000 / 350 = 2,857 charge cycles. In a video clip, do not have link, the full 500 was used at 2000 charge cycles. The video clip was Musk answering the possibility to achieve 1 million and not how they official estimate the number.

The estimate is based on the battery can be charged and consumed.

The 1,000,000 is under optimal conditions.

My conservative approach, immediately half the top end, 500,000 and apply 80% = 400,000 expected range, for my haphazard charging and driving habits and use, before significant battery degradation is noticed. At the 400,000 mark, would evaluate the need to replace battery, replace truck or continue use and evaluate once a year.

@ 400K, 25K driving per year, 16 years before considering the replacing battery. Though, personal plans is to act as a daily driver for ten years, secondary vehicle afterwards when I buy my middle age crisis following vehicle.

Estimates are still as good as #4

I think it is simply a marketing term. Would a battery guaranteed to get 950,000 miles qualify as a "million mile" battery?

In the lab they've proved it is reasonable that it could be done in a vehicle. But they haven't actually done it in a vehicle (as far as I know).

When the time comes will they warrantee it? Will hypermilers get 1,500,000 miles? Will Battery Day in April make all of this speculation obsolete?

I don't know nuthin' but sure would like to!

I ordered the dual motor but want 500 mile battery. I need the third motor like a cat needs two tails. Anyone else in this boat? I plan to travel off the interstates where super chargers will not likely be installed in my lifetime.
