I agree with you Camper Van Someren, a full size spare is what I need, however not provided all the time. I have seen people use the plugs to fix a side wall blow out and get off the trail. Not ideal however better than the can of spray fix. I would be buying a full size spare to go with me if it does not come standard and keeping the plugs available still. I have a full size spare on my Jeep and still carry an air pump and plugs.

We'll probably put Mickey Thompsons on ours. I got over 60k out of my last set on my JKUR. It gets driven every where. Streets, highways, trails, rocks and whatever else.
Having said that, we'll probably do a test for 5-10k mileage and see what we get on each.

One of the test drive videos identified Goodyear tires on the truck. The Motor Trend article generically said 35s. Has anyone been able to figure out what type and size? Just curious about the cost to replace them.

These are close but not identical:

Will Cybertruck get RFT (run flat tire) and tires for snow as it is the law in Québec, My ordered was from Nov. 29th 2019. Thank you to answer.

The one that was unveiled has the same tires as my Hummer rock crawler, they are Goodyear Wrangler MTR Kevlar
Good to know! How do you like the Goodyear Wrangler MYR Kevlar tires (on-road and off-road)?

They're great, I switched to them after 1 too many side wall tears on rocks and cacti. Off-road: very grippy, air down well and the carcass is very strong. The Kevlar seems to be the ticket. No complaints at all.

On-Road: Quite for an aggressive tire and very maneuverable. Easy to balance and decent wear.

They aren't the best tire I've had in any category but they are the best in all categories.

Tires are GoodYear Wrangler MT-R with Kevlar treads on custom carcasses. Probably 35x12 in size.
I really hope not, my 17 Tacoma came with those, as well as my work truck... They are god awful in the snow/ rain and were dead by 30k (in a really light truck).

Per the ride the lightning podcast, 35s and equipped with the tire on at launch, tire plus mounting and balancing, estimated $4000

Not sure how that could be possible though....

The sidewalls are different, but the tire is made by Goodyear and has the MT/R tread pattern.

Although the ‘monster’ car tires look cool, I would/will want regular all-season/all-terrain tires and hope that Tesla will provide that option. I haven’t done any serious off-roading in years and with this ground clearance I doubt I would need those tires.

Actually, those don’t look so big. The wheels are large and the tires are maybe a bit more knobby than I normally need.

I wonder if I could fit 37’s on it. That would look killer.
