I don't see any reason currently that it will not be in production by the end of 2021. There may be some unforeseen circumstance, like a tidal wave of Covid cases, that causes a delay. Other than that everything seems to be ahead of schedule.
I agree. My wife’s major concern was being the only one in town driving one. After I told her there are thousands of reservations in Oregon she warmed up.
We only plan to own the Y for 2 years. I just don’t see any chance FSD is fully realized within that time. And even if it were complete right now, I don’t know that $8000 for 24 months of use is worth it. It would slightly increase the resale.
This brings up an interesting topic. If I buy a...
That’s what I thought too. But I looked closer and you can see subtle differences. The left one is correct. It’s a darker shade of red around the outside. And the inner bulb is a little different. But they are close enough that I would have never noticed if I hadn’t been following my wife...
Let’s talk about quality control!
I heard a lot of horror stories before and after picking up my Model Y, so I was pleasantly surprised at how well built my Y turned out. A couple minor panel gaps but nothing worth worrying about. Overall I think it was built better than the Highlander I...

But since we're all here, how was this site up before the reveal? I thought the term "Cybertruck" was revealed on the night of the reveal.
I tend to agree. I'm really curious how much of a step forward the big rewrite will be. FSD needs a massive step forward if it's ever going to be realized.
I was listening to the Ride The Lightning podcast today and Ryan made an interesting point. A few years ago Elon talked about a $25k...
If neuralink can help people with medical issues that's great. But I have no interest in being that connected to my car... or pretty much anything else. I'm going to be like the old man with the flip phone. "You kids keep your fancy shmancy technologies to yourselves and get off my lawn!"
Took delivery of this today. My first Tesla.
Some thoughts on delivery. They have an odd way of filling orders. Every quarter of the calendar is it's own "delivery window." Each quarter they roll out orders by geographical area. Europe first, then other markets, then the east coast, then...
It's completely down. I'm expecting a Model Y right now, like maybe today, and it's total chaos on the delivery side.
I'm wondering if this is some sort of (cough cough) cyber attack.
All of the quoted range figures for the CT have a + on the end. So we have no idea what the range will be right now. Some smart folks around here are expecting something like 625/350/300.
I'll be working during the event. Anyone know of a twitter feed or something similar that will have live updates? Hoping to be able to keep one eye on the Battery Day news while working...
I also came to this conclusion. If Lamborghini made a truck it would look like this. But I don’t want to drive a Lamborghini truck. I am NOT a person who wants to be seen or stand out. Again, for me it’s the function of it that won me over. I’ll deal with the looks for that.
I saw that, but they did include a question mark on that. They seem to think that’s where the mega casting machine will be. And yes, it is a huge hole.
It makes sense for building C to be the 3/Y building since it appears to be the first priority right now. If the Cybertruck building were...
That sums me up too. My wife had a similar reaction when I showed her the first time. She literally LOLed. But she is all in on the stainless steel utilitarianism of it now. When you look through the lens of function it looks smart instead of weird.
