Good point! I always haul plywood and drywall, but in-laws love their 5th wheel. I just don’t like the two rails on the bed that the 5th wheel attachment adds
Stacking up 4x8s in the bed and actually closing the tailgate...such a happy thought! ? Cybertruck needs to be the ultimate work vehicle. Going big with a 4x8 bed is the way ?
We had a 2001 CR-V with 360k miles on it. Somehow just kept running! In the end, just traded in for some $ towards used 2007 Prius for $6k (124k odo). Doubled our MPG, so that was nice :)
Having a full-length, eight foot bed on Cybertruck would be awesome.
I often use a 6.5’ bed (Silverado) and always wish I had 8’ instead.
Our garage is 24’ deep, so extra length would be okay ?
8’ bed instead of 6.5’ would be great. Can stack up sheets, close cover.
Leaving the gate down for 8’ lumber and 4’x8’ sheets and using tie-downs isn’t my favorite thing ?
Would much rather just have a 8’ long bed ??
The base of the body is one spot for a horizontal track — would be virtually invisible.
The angle on the side body panels is another place for a sliding door track, maintains a horizontal parallel to base of body. That being said, this position would affect exoskeleton rigidity.
Ya, and considering Tesla’s recurring paint quality issues, will be nice to skip that step.
In another train of thought — would a polymer wrap decrease drag vs plain steel?
Haha, hardcore! We used old school mowers for years, currently have cheap duct taped together electric mowers (38v Black and Decker from years ago) we refuse to give up on! ?
Ya, Model Y and Cybertruck are a great pair. I do sales, so having a Model Y for “normal” daily tasks like driving to appointments and grocers would be good (instead of a tank from the future pulling up). When CT truly hits the roads, will be fun to see reactions!
