I read the proposal was $50 per car sold. I bet Tesla’s profit per car is $5k or higher, so it’s a modest 1% of margin and ~1/1,000 of total sale value.

??A tuck away steering wheel makes future FSD value way better. Even parked, tucking the steering wheel away is a benefit, with working in your car between appointments being an emerging trend. Tesla adding video conferencing feature soon will also be great for the truly mobile office concept

Traditional vehicle designs compromise quality/longevity for hitting a price-point. Unfortunately, higher price points have just meant interior luxe and trim, not any true engineering improvements or increased longevity.
Really hoping Cybertruck’s interior design is as durable and tough as the exterior. Muddy work boots and wet dogs with pokey claws should be a zero worry situation ?
