What features won’t be standard on the tri-motor and what do you think full spec will cost?

I’m wondering where everyone thinks the price will be when you spec it out all the way and what those features could be that aren’t included in the $70k price tag that would be in let’s say a $70k Chevy 2500HD.

If past order forms are any indication there wont by much to customize. Go look at the current lineup you can only change, paint, interior color (and layout in some cases), wheels, FSD, and tow package (which may be standard on the CT). That's about it. Most everything else is standard equipment (IE seat heaters, power windows, etc.)

I don't expect the CT to come with too many factory options. Too many options means too many variations they have to accommodate on the production line which will drive up costs.

I do expect a robust aftermarket options though for things like brush guards, winches, 5th wheel hookups, etc.

• FSD
• cyber quad
• Camping mode
• Tow camper

The first 2 are outright stated as intending to be available on the CT. The other 2 have been shown in pictures but there hasn’t been much of anything mentioned since the initial announcements so it is difficult to know if they’re were going to be actually available or if they were more for 3 rd party inspiration.

I feel like I haven’t been paying attention then. I was thinking something like the model s could have quite a bit tacked on in options.

Ford hasn't had a suitable motor for years, maybe electric will save them. Cybertruck's structure, durability, longevity would be a bonus to all the current tin foil manufacturers.

-Ass-kicking
-Total Badassery
-High-powered Chick Magnet
-Envy Inducing System

Beyond that we should expect few options, as Elon learned the hard way some time ago that options kill profits. We should see:

-FSD
-Wheel/Tire choices
-Seat options
-Premium sound system?
-Tow package?

I can also see something like an off-road package or performance package, the kind of stuff that doesn't really change the vehicle but maybe some suspension settings and/or wheel tire combos and some appearance effects. Those things are easy money with little effort.

You raise a valid concern.

Traditional makers have long used the strategy of posting a reasonable list price, from which the dealer deducts some sort of special discount, but to which are added whatever can be thought of, especially if made to appear required and non-negotiable, such as delivery and preparation fee, documentation charge, advertising fee, and on and on.

I fear that the approaching-a-million deposit-paid pre-orders, plus the Tesla policy of not negotiating, will invite similar extra costs. We'll see.
