Perhaps they could produce a smaller Cybertruck, given how well the truck is accepted

Yes your right about the “Tacoma cult” but rumor is the Tacoma is about to get a lot bigger and be riding on a shared chassis with the Tundra ? kind of like how the new f-250 uses the same cab as the f-150. But chassis instead.

The smaller pickup would sell well in other markets for sure. I would surely give it a look, but I doubt it would fulfill my needs.

As retired military you should already know that Europe has always favored smaller vehicles as commuters. :) I remember that they marveled over the size of a Tacoma personally. I also see a market for a smaller truck but I also agree let them take on the F-150 first. I’m one of those devoted Tacoma fans but I also think that they are not made as well as they were In the past. I’ll gladly make the switch to Tesla Cybertruck and park my Tacoma.
Only went across the pond twice to the east, we flew our HC-130 in and parked it for airshows or academy cadet transport and were too scared to drive in the U.K. what with the way they drive on the wrong side of the road and all. One trip we had rental cars at RAF Mildenhall but nobody wanted to chance it, had everything we needed was within walking distance anyway. People were friendly and polite and the brits were crazy about the western attire we casually wore off duty when we were not required to be on the flight line for the festivities of signing autographs and trading unit patches with the airshow crowd. You are right, the skinny roads suck, no place to pull over and change your mind or tire if you had too.

I spent most of my time either in Alaska, Carribean, Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic, or Central America, courtesy of the USCG. Just out of High School I had the bright idea to do 3 long years in the U.S.Army (24th Division) and that really helped me appreciate the Coast Guard later on. It was so rough in the USCG I spent the last 7 years of my military career living in the house I grew up in and commuted to my air station each day, Loved It.

I thought your posts were clear, my apologies that I misunderstood.

It may be awhile, as I still can see no other way to interpret them.

If you would care to help me understand, I'll be happy to try. We can discuss offline if you prefer.

The TCT is not a monster truck. It is the same size, weight, and price as a Ford F-150. The F-150 sales 909,000 units per year compared to the Ford Ranger 50,000 units with zero sales in October, November and December. The market for small trucks is not there IMO. I own a 2019 f-150 ecoboost and will trade it when the TCT is ready.

But the Toyota Tacoma is selling roughly 20k a month for the same period. That being said, I’m still looking forward to the CT and it will fit in my garage. :)
