Tesla Cybertruck Polished Mirror Finish.png

Polishing stainless steel to a mirror like finish takes some effort, even more so than aluminum because it's a harder metal. A small Airstream travel trailer will take roughly 200 hours of labor. Anyone plan on going this route instead of a custom wrap?

I’d say if you will be hauling a polished Airstream, then you’d better polish your truck ;)

No. Save yourself all that work and just put a chrome wrap on it. That way, when you realize that it's tacky and probably blinding other drivers, you can just remove it.

No thanks. I'm more subdued. I might grab some mud though, and spread it all over the stainless. I mean, it'll wash right off. But, it just might look awesome for a while. peace

Not going to polish my cybertruck. But, some stainless steel can be magnetic. If it is magnetic enough, the colored flexible vinyl magnetic sheeting by someone like magnetking could be a neat option.

I was thinking a mirror finish vinyl cover would be easier and cheaper than a full mirror finish. Plus then if I decided to change it I could easily reapply a different vinyl cover. I’m thinking that I’ll have this vehicle long enough for my tastes to change.
