My wife said 60K was too much to buy a pickup. She also questioned my Model 3 was too expansive compare my previous Nissan Leaf. So in order to get my dream car without resistance, I bought 206 TSLA stock which costed me 59k after I heard Elon's promise that the Tesla pickup should be under 50k. After splitted last month now it is 1030 shares, $420K as of today. I predict at the end of 2021, my money might grow to worth of 10 Cybertrucks.
Thanks @Blue Steel to correct my story. I guess this will help me to convince my wife to let me get a neuralink device in my head since I have a bad memory.

Nice.

When I retired I put 30K from my IRA into Tesla, now around 274K.

I got in very late recently just before the split, I now have 67 shares @ $394 a share. But $394 will seem like an amazing price in a few years.

Hoping to swing it to 100 shares if I can time the next dip.

This is also my FIRST EVER stock purchase!

Let's gooo! TSLA?

Have you told your wife about this? Do you tell her about it two times a day? Or three times a day?

What’s strange is that he claims to have purchased TSLA at about $286 per share AFTER the CT announcement in November. But the lowest point for the stock during that time period was about $325. I need to find out where he’s buying his discount stock.

Good question, I checked my account records and found out that stock purchase was 3/14, the Model Y unveil day. I do have a TSLA purchase after the CT unveiling event. I remember Elon said the Tesla truck should be under 50K sometimes last year before the Model Y day.

I did the same thing but started with a little less at $36K. Now Im playing with the houses money. Maybe we can get a Roadster for our wives with the winnings! Name me another car company where you can do that. My fingers are crossed that our luck holds,
