I was driving my wife’s Model 3 this evening and it occurred to me that I haven’t seen sun visors or internal overhead lights (or similar interior things) on the CT. Does anyone know how they intend to provide these without messing up that great view?

I imagine it will be very similar to the Model X

The sun visor is positioned about the driver and passenger window and is locked in place with a magnet. When you need the sun visor, you can slide it into position and it attaches to the base of the rear view mirror with the magnet. The sun visor is smaller than most and it can open up to become larger.

The only thing that becomes difficult because of this is using the passenger sun visor while driving if the sun is coming from that angle.

The prototype has some real cool light bars above the doors. I hope that makes it through to production.

I am familiar with the sun visor in the Model X and that is a good guess. Has anyone seen one in the prototype? I forgot about those interior light bars. Do you think they would be strong enough or targetable in some way? Maybe they are segmented for front/rear control for example. Does any other car have its cabin lights situated above the doors?

Yep, that's my wife too. Every time I get in the van after her, I get rid of the sun visor. And she puts it down and turns on the AC every time she gets in it after me.
Don't even get me started about who's music gets played! ?

I'm sure you will be able to control the lights and maybe even program when they come on.

Possible but I don't think that would replace a sun visor. While the sun hardly ever bothers me while I'm driving, some people just don't like the sun anywhere in their vision. I would be surprised if a manufacturer didn't at least give the option for one.

I just hope it is in a very discrete location. I like how they did it on the Model x because they are a bit of an eye sore with such a nice interior and all that glass.
