Wow over 70% of the poll respondents have said they're replacing an ICE truck. That # should really scare the traditional truck makers.

Sold my Nissan Titan truck years (10) ago and waiting ever since. It's been a long wait but I knew it's worth it. Only the CT. Thank you Tesla.

I will be replacing my Audi Q5 with the Dual Motor Cybertruck. I coach soccer and would love something a little more rugged, but will use it more for towing purposes.

Over here in Japan full size trucks are very rare mainly due to their taxes and the fact that you have to do an expensive and time consuming government inspection yearly so most people including me don't own a truck.

I know the cybertruck won't be exempt from the yearly inspection, but it should be a little cheaper since it doesn't have any emissions.

I purchased a 2019 Tacoma almost a year ago. If I knew the CT was coming I would have put off my purchase and kept my 2013 Wrangler. I will privately sell the Tacoma once the Tesla e-mail arrives to configure my ordered Cybertruck.

No. This will be my first truck and first EV..

And to the person who remarked that traditional truck makers should be scared because of the 70% who are replacing, I believe the 30% who are not replacing it from an internal combustion engine to an electric vehicle should be as much or more of a fear factor to Ford, et al. People like me who would not have considered a traditional truck are flocking to this vehicle.

For people who like large vehicles, there is no competition for the Cybertruck when it comes to costs of ownership after the purchase and potential longevity. Longevity and performance are improved upgrading trucks from gasoline to diesel engines but the costs associated with maintenance of DEF systems are a big negative. The same can be said in spades for the Tesla Semi whenever that appears.

Already have a buyer for my Honda Ridgeline.
Of note; the Ridgeline took on the beach at Cape Hatteras and conquered.
With the CT it should be easier. The Ridgeline was plowing through the sand in many areas.

Of a couple of hundred guys on a BEV enthusiast web site who responded to a poll about 3/4 said that when they get their BEVs they will be replacing an ICE vehicle. I doubt the Ford boardroom is in turmoil., Now if they asked a couple of thousand of their current customers (people who have bought Ford trucks) what they intend to do when they get their next truck and 3/4 said they would be dumping ICE for BEV then they would be stirred to accelerate their BEV programs. They still have R.J.'s phone number in the rolodex.

Here are some costs that I incurred as a consequence of buying my X. Things you may not have thought about:
1)Tesla hat
2)Tesla hat to replace the Tesla hat that got shredded when it went through the backup generator's fan
3)Replacement of generator fan
4)Tesla fob covers
5)Tesla logo schraeder valve caps
6)Spare tire
7)Tire repair kit
8)Jack
9)Special jack point protectors for Tesla
10)Three HPWC (I have two houses)
11)100 A circuit to support HPWC
12)14-50 extension cord
13)Every adapter imaginable
14)CHadeMO adapter (broken out separately because its $500 and because unlike the items in 13) which I have never used I use this a lot.
14)Floor mats
15)Screen protection film
16)Paint touchup kit
17)Handy little drawer for center console
17)Solar system so you can claim your auto travels are "fusion powered" even though you think global warming is the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on man'
18)New cellphone so I can use the wireless charger in the car.
19)Wattzilla portable 48A charger so I can use 14-60R receptacles should I ever encounter one.
20)Diecast 1:18 model
21)Cellphone charger in the shape of a Super Charger terminal
22)Subscriptions to TesalFi, ABRP and Stats
23)Tesla jacket
24)Cyber truck hat.
25)Subscription to Tesla Extended Connectivity (fee for this at end of one year)
26)Coat hangars (car comes with none)
29)Sporty pedal covers
30)Thumb drive for cameras
31)Textbooks on BEV design and battery technology
32)Three year annual service contract (they refunded a lot of this when I traded the car)
33)Cyber Truck order fee,

The longevity isn't great on these cars. I only had the first X a little over a year. As soon as the Raven came along I had to have it (55 more miles range - couldn't pass that by now could I).

Replacing 2013 Ram 1500. 1300lbs payload and 8500lbs towing capacity. I was thinking of replacing with a 2022 Ram 2500 Hemi but between fuel and maintenance costs, it actually makes sense to go electric. Looking forward to it.

Replacing my 2003 Silverado that has 248k miles on it.
List of issues I've had to deal with owning an ICE truck that I will never have to worry about again....
About 40% of the clear coat has flaked off
2 fuel pumps
Complete rebuild of transmission
4 window actuators
2 alternators
and I need to add 1 quart of oil every 3-4 weeks because it burns oil.
(amazingly NO Flat Tires lol)

I am hoping it lasts another 1.5 years or so until my Cyber Truck is here.
