For everyone worried about whether it'll fit in your garage, you'll be glad to hear that he's designing its size with that in mind -- "it's gotta fit in a normal garage." (y)
No problem here, the smaller of the two is 8' wide and

So what classifies as a "Normal" garage? Anyone?

Because of "fits in a garage" - it is not sure yet if it will be smaller.
He told so to Jay but later he tweeted:
"Reviewed design with Franz last night. Even 3% smaller is too small. Will be pretty much this size. We’ll probably do a smaller, tight world truck at some point."

For my part I like mine as big as it is now ;)

The Cybertruck looks even better to me in this video when seeing it in motion and in natural outdoor lighting. That stainless steel just pops!

Anyone notice he says 5% size reduction vs 3%? This was shot a while back before he tweeted about a 3% reduction so I assume that's more accurate than his earlier 5% estimate.
now he claims not to change the size because its about the same size as F150 and those owners don't park theirs in garage and the Cybertruck can withstand a hail storm. plus if you get the solar vault cover it trickle charges battery (about 15 miles per 8 hrs) while outside.

The CT is really going to be disruptor in the lucrative full size truck market . I think hundreds of thousands of potential buyer will be placing a deposit after seeing Jay’s TV episode.
i agree. it even looks better in natural daylight on tv. just think how better it will look when i pick my tri motor up.

Something I just noticed in the full video, maybe someone else mentioned it... was the skid plate under the truck. Full length, smooth metal plate. Hopefully it is structural, meaning solid and attached to the frame. For folks that off road, like me years ago :p, a skid plate is an important feature.

I would opt to have the "Charging Port" integrated/hidden" like the Model 3 Charging port. (Unseen/side cover opens - would give more clean lines/body for the CyberTruck)

I assumed so, that the bottom plate, once bolted on, would be a structural member.

Remember, Exoskeleton means the skin is the frame!

Jay was driving the CT with the middle “grille” LED light bar off and the headlights on. It’s good to know that they come on independently.

I think at the rear right side of the bed is a small door to access the electrical connection. I also think the air connections are at the rear left in the bed, but I do not have any proof, I just have this vague memory... maybe the early access article?
Idk about the air connections, but you are right about the electrical outlet on the right side door.

Also that looks a lot like an air quick connect!

I was so right when (in the older Jay Leno's Garage thread) I said: "Sounds like it's more about Elon himself and less about CT specifically." There was only about 90 seconds that was specific to CT. Standing on the vault door was fun, but after that, we're back in the information desert.

After dissecting it moment by moment, one thing stood out for me.
On the prototype, something happened to this panel, the metal is fatigued on the edges.
Clueless as to exactly what happened, but something happened.
running_light_closeup.png

The other side of the front end does not show this fatigue.
Do you see what I'm talking about now?

And damn, those hidden marker lights are cool. (turn signal, running lights, whatever you want to call them) Also, what's up with the purple section of the tailgate lights?

For the front marker light, you can see a little bit of red in the first two images.. You can find better images of these lights elsewhere.

This isn’t the full video. This is only half of it. The full video is actually 11 minutes long (not 6).
