Use Cybertruck as stationary power source.

you are right on all points, and all of these issues have been solved for some time now. grid tied solar systems with battery backup disconnect themselves from the grid when running off battery so you dont fry some poor lineman repairing downed lines who thinks there’s no charge on the wire...

Use Cybertruck as stationary power source.

vehicle to grid is part of the utility and the promise of distributed power. it may be that any electric vehicle in the near future will be *required* (as in by law) to store power for the grid as a whole and provide backup during emergencies such as the recent debacle in Texas during the Arctic...

Why Startups (and Tesla) Will Struggle with Electric Pick Ups

Ha! True. Motley Fool was decent when it started out. They always had something interesting to add, but past few years (maybe more?) their articles are fluff that try to sell you on some bs or another. I’m sort of partial to Ford, having owned a number of them, but I dont see them making...

Nice Overview of Pros and Cons of EV Ownership

https://xrayvsn.com/buying-an-electric-car-things-you-must-consider/ Just read this blog post about EV ownership. Having just spent $700 for four tires on my ICE mobile, I hadn't even considered the expense of tires for an EV with all the high torque and my lead foot! Still, the EV pros seem to...

Elon Reconfirms Production Cybertruck Will be Around 3% Smaller. Factory Delivery / Pick Up Will Be Available!

Rogan is a bit of a dope, but he can be amusing at times. It's a little weird that Elon Musk has been on his podcast so much. An outgoing extroverted, big mouth, and an introverted nerd that can barely speak because his mind is thinking ten things at once, maybe they're complimentary.

Maybe Single motor is all you need?

That may be the understatement of the year. ;)

Cybertruck reservation order number -- how to tell your place in line

I bet this has been stated before in this thread, but I don’t have the patience to sift through 35 pages... ? If the tri-motor is being produced first, and you put a deposit down for a tri-motor, then you might expect to get yours sooner than would be indicated by your order number alone. Plus...

Factory pick-up in lieu of delivery

Tucson is another small, awesome city! I love that no matter which direction you drive in Tucson, you are staring at some mountains in the (not so) distance.

Tesla Seeks Approval for Battery Production at Texas Gigafactory

Or Elon misquoted himself. LOL! Or maybe Elon has access to more info than we are aware of.;)

Tesla Using Mobile Service Fleet to Test Cybertruck Steel Before Launch

I used to go off roading when I lived in Arizona. We’d call those scratches “desert pinstripe”. ?

Motor Mouth: Tesla's New Cybertruck is - Well, We Don't Even Know

It amazes me all the complaining that goes on for a vehicle that isnt even in production yet, and won’t be for a while. The deposit is fully refundable, and relatively insignificant. Speculate like crazy, but the whining and demanding gets tiresome pretty fast.

    Cybertruck Vs. New Bronco

So why can’t you strap some extra cans of electricity to your CT? I think thats a great idea. Hopefully someone will run with that as an aftermarket option. Wont be any more hazardous than a couple of cans of gasoline. ? Or how about some nice solar panels to lay out on the ground? Or both...

    Cybertruck Vs. New Bronco

The Bronco is the perfect vehicle to get while waiting for your Cybertruck. Especially if they make a hybrid model. Im someting like 250k in line for a CT, so I dont expect to get mine for a few years. A Bronco in the garage would tide me over nicely. ?

Cybertruck pics & videos from the Petersen Automotive Museum [Dates Extended Until July 5]

I always had great performance on and off-road with these BigO ATs on my 4Runner... https://www.bigotires.com/tires/line/big-o/big-foot-at-nt/prod4791805 Had the Bridgestone Revo ATs also, but the performance of those drops off dramatically as they wear.

Cool pics. Thanks. Cameras on fender flares seems like a bad idea as they will be prone to damage if you do any off-roading at all. But I guess it's more of a pain to punch out the metal to put a camera in, and would mess up the smooth line of the body.

The buttons don't really even need to depress, as they may be touch sensitive, like a phone screen. So no where for water or debris to even get in. I think there was a demo video posted a month or so ago of the retraction of the bed cover that might provide a close up of the button action.

Dual rear cameras spotted on Cybertruck

Maybe it's just a plain old back up camera. Tho stereo vision would help it to self park.
