Seriously, the more I know about it, the more I love it. Elon standing on the cover really is incredible and I didn’t see any flexing which means it’s not just some gimmicky thing like some of the other manufacturers do. Badass!

does the vault cover retract into the roof covering the roof glass or does it go down behind the rear glass? interior looks very roomy.

When Motortrend got early access to the CT prior to the reveal, they said that there is a cylinder underneath (the bed?) in which the tonneau cover rolls-up into when retracted.

I would imagine that you wouldn't be able to open the vault cover while the access gate to the vault from the cab was open. This is a no brainier in my opinion since it can be controlled with a mechanical safety switch.

Wow, the CT really looks good at that angle, and in that lighting ( as mentioned above). The stainless and black combination is especially complimentary to the design.

The strength of the tonneau cover is impressive. Now I know why it is called the vault.

I see that Jay ditched his denim shirt to match the badass theme. ?

Yeah I caught that too. Might have just been a language / Elon-speak thing. The website says the whole structure is 30X stainless and it's an exoskeleton design. It stands to reason that most of the exterior will be 30X.

Tesla also needs to confirm the date for battery day and announce a new assembly factory location.

I think Elon’s plate is full this week with Wednesdays planned Space X launch with two astronauts aboard in designer space suits. They will be shuttled to the launch pad in a Model X and the entire launch will have a black and white color scheme.

one step closer to reality. I really loved how much light there is in the interior. I also think the seats are really cool looking. The production version is going to be better than this prototype which means we will have the best vehicle ever produced.

I really liked the amount of light as well and how strong the cover appears to be with the tailgate down! I do hope that they address the sound dampening especially with the beefy tires.
