I really like this idea.
Out of the box creativity.
Now just need to figure how to leave a light trail behind the truck. Light cycle indeed!
Oh, that's the easy part. Ever seen a chicken truck going down the highway? Well just replace the errant feathers with bulk amounts of glass beads, they reflect the light that is shined upon them. Another company also sells reflective glass beads in bulk and in different sizes. Actually I saw that they sell extremely large beads (airport size they say) that are popular with artist. Check it out, a new medium.

Slick Idea, now where to get these cut.
Any decent sign making shop has a vinyl plotter. Even some window tinting shops.
Digitize almost any image and it’s precisely
cut. Not expensive at all.
This is exactly what I was talking about. Making it your own.

No thanks. One of the things that drew me to the CT was the stainless steel, maintenance free finish on the exterior. Scratches? Buff then out. Dirt washes off.

Since these are all flat panels, you'd save a ton of money just ordering bulk materials and applying it yourself. There's no reason to pay the prices that are linked by the OP for such a simple vehicle body.
I thought about wrapping it after I ordered it and I came to the same conclusion as yourself. I'll be wrapping mine in Olive green and black.

How about reflective tape in unique designs. It will definitely stand out at night from a long way off and it would bond better. Going for the "Tron" outline look from the Light Cycles.

Neat idea Clay, but wrap material needs flexibility and reflective tape doesn't have that. One possible exception is their Flexible Engineer Grade, but I think all their tapes have a maximum width of about six inches. But on flat surfaces you could use one of their tapes for accents and, as you say, definitely stand out at night from a long way off.
