Anyone thinking of changing to a different Tesla model?

I don't think any motors will be burning out because the vehicle will be monitoring torque and current and will protect itself if one tries, for example, to go too fast up a grade that is too steep. It will probably also refuse to move if tongue weight is too high.
You can have a low tongue weight with a heavy trailer. I hope the CT can figure out the trailer weight AND the tongue weight.

Yes you can and you can also have a light trailer with a high tongue weight. You can also install weight shifting bars. In any case a 3 axis strain gauge in the hitch will allow the truck to estimate gross and tongue weight of the trailer.

I hope it take 5 year as long as my price is locked in. I drive a Raven Model X. I get a lot of looks when i back my 20 ft bay boat into the water or when i am pulling a trailer with ATV ( Gator) while deer hunting. I admit , I am very careful with the Model x ; it is easy to get a dent and not made for dust/dirt so i avoid gravel roads. It does pull my boat better then any truck i have had. I set chill mode because the acceleration is too much , feel like i can jerk trailer out from under boat. I plan to give Model X to wife when cyber truck comes. If it comes to sooner I will not be able to afford it. Glad to see Model Y can tow 3500 LBS. Interior look more durable then Model X. So may be option for some of you while waiting for truck. Range is cut from 328 to about 150 when pulling 2800 LBS boat at 60-70 miles per hour. Removing boat wind shield add 40 mile range to get me 190 miles.

Definitely going to get the CT, but might get a model 3 for the wife.
building a complete solar supporting house in Texas so it will cost literally nothing to charge my vehicles.

You totally should get your wife a Model 3. That’s what I did, and man it is an amazing machine! I also drive a Porsche and my wife’s M3 is way more fun car to drive. We got a long range M3 and it’s fast! :)
Let me know if you need some information on the process or what to lookout for.

I will wait for the CT. That's the model I want. I have a feeling that the production will start sooner.
I hope you are correct, however Tesla's track record on releasing new vehicles on time does not make me very hopeful. I can't think of one that was released on time.

Nope, I’m very committed to my Dual Motor choice.

My only fear is that Tesla will change CT specs between now and production. Thinner 30X stainless steel, axe the Armor Glass windows, ditch the bed cover, change the design, etc.
