I hope to pick up my CT at the factory. I definitely want a factory tour.
I will say this. We used to transport the S and Xs, prior to the M3. We also delivered the new cars to the buyers, at their homes. Tesla averages the delivery costs over all the cars they sell. Some cost more to...
From pictures I've seen of the CT at the Petersen, it appears the receiver tube attaches to the hitch the way some European cars do it. The hitch is fully hidden behind the bumper cover. The tube or ball inserts vertically into the hitch.
Not ideal in my opinion. Excessive tongue weight...
It seems logical that all three flavors of the CT and updated Roadster will use the EM wiper system.
It appears the CT has enough room behind the frunk, under the hood, in front of the windshield, to mount the system.
I imagine the trailing edge of the hood will raise up to reveal the wiper...
You're a better man than me.
I wouldn't let my father in law ride in the vault of the CT, let alone buy him one.
Long story, not suitable for this place. Suffice to say, some people are shitty at being human.
Here in New England we get snow regularly. Not only do wipers sometimes struggle, I needed to use my headlight washers to clear the snow from them. I just don't see how the CT cannot have wiper(s), or some method of clearing water, salt, road spray, mud, bird shit, etc.
And its the same law...

This new wiper design looks pretty cool. Any guesses as to if the CT will have this same wiper design?
I'm betting it will. The entire mechanism can be under the the hood when not in use. Very aero......
Even my BMW wagon has aluminum suspension sub frames.
The subframes bolt to the steel body with rubber bushings isolators.
And even though the chassis is steel, it has aluminum tailgate and panels.
I'm confident subframe to chassis won't be an issue.
The rest remains to be seen, though
Can you compare Fluid Film to, say, cosmoline? I know the later is damn expensive, and hard to find. We purchased several pails of cosmoline to coat a 175 ton press brake that sat outside for 6 months before being installed. It was near impossible to remove the stuff!
We use Rhomar...
This "sudden unintentional acceleration" was disproved in the late 80's with the Audi 5000.
My high school buddy bought the neighbor's nearly new Audi for, literally, next to nothing. She was afraid to drive the car.
Didn't Tesla just go through this investigation here in the US?
Before Covid shut down my side business down, I leased tour buses to bands.
For the most parts, MOST humans are respectful of other peoples stuff. Its not often a bus gets trashed by a band, but it does happen a couple times a year . I charge a $2500 damage deposit which most tour managers...
This pretty much confirms that the inner door and interior stampings in the CT will be stainless steel.
The big question is what the outer shell of the battery pack is going to be. Since that's going to be the actual "floor" of the CT, it would be nice to round out the entire CT as stainless...
Let's all hope for 48vdc CT low voltage system.
Motorcoaches use 12vdc, 24vdc, and CANBUS systems. Imagine being able to combine all of that over one wire (power and communication)! The cost savings would be substantial. Literally, POE (Power Over Ethernet) vehicle. I have spent 100s of...
The aluminum subframes for the motors and suspension may be rubber isolated. But now that I look at the battery day casting pictures, the casts will likely be glued and then mechanically fastened to the SS exoskeleton. This would be the most rigid configuration.
