As much as I loved Avalanche‘s midgate design, CT would be much better for camping if they can make it work. Less like coffin due to height of the bed cover at one end, the glass roof and you don’t have to run the loud motor for climate control.The last truck with a folding mitigate was the Chevy Avalanche, and it worked like this:
However, that thing's integrated tonneau cover worked quite differently. Compared to the roll-top tonneau cover on CT prototype, one might say the Avalanche's cover didn't work at all.
Tesla would probably do it differently. But this is an answer to the question of how this would work.
