I guess I fell into the beta hole, never heard anything from them. Randomly went on to check their site, and found it accepting orders. I believe it just went live today. My interpretation is this marks the end of beta. (?)Very cool.
tho, they're still being pretty cagey and selective about their beta keys. And the keys are region-locked, you can't travel with them, or move very far.

No, this is just another step of the Beta. The coverage doesn't include most of the globe yet, the satellite density only works above a certain latitude. (South or North) and their current satellites can only do ground-ground relay which means inconsistent support. My interpretation is this marks the end of beta. (?)
You will get nowhere near 1 gig download speeds, right now 50-150 mbs but should improve by years endi just put in order in and im in Chandler, AZ. I pay 169 a month for gigabit unlimited. but i have to deal with cox. so i will love to pay 100 bucks a month not have to deal with cox. plus i have faith i will be able to take it with me in the woods.

You will need to be clear of trees to use StarlinkYes. i dont need gigabit i want to be able to video chat in the woods.
That's what I was thinking. If you're in the woods to hunt, you're used to climbing anyway.Climb!
