Looks like Musk deleted his tweet :)

It was a retweet of a message tweeted by the makers of that video (showing in Coyote Jim's post) saying "Anymore excuses Ford? Imagine what the Cybertruck will do"

It's a stunt. They know each other it appears. Not saying the video is valid or invalid, but some other video tests should be done.

Its great to see an electric win a tug of war but that isn't what either of these vehicles were designed to do. I say load them with payload and a trailer and see what they can do. The p100d will barely make 100 miles at full towing capacity. That is the only weakness of this vehicle.

I don't like videos that show nonsense. The f150 is a very capable pickup truck. The p100d us an incredible ev suv. Neither will excel at what the other is good at. You want to haul an 11,000lb trailer 600 miles the f150 is the better choice. You wanna go on a 200 mile drive the p100d is the better choice.

STUNT - ELON DELETED HIS TWEET FROM PART 1 FOR A REASON...
EV Tech is not good yet for heavy duty towing long distances.

90%+ of truck owners basically never tow anything - Maybe something lightish for a short one way or round trip once a year if even that. Tesla has done their research. Buy a Cybertruck & rent a Heavy Duty Diesel F-250 if ya ever need to do a serious towing gig! Or just hire the job out. Cybertruck will sell like hotcakes!

People are saying the battery will die towing, just imagine the regenerative breaking with a trailer, this will be increased as well.

As for the tug of war, they both need same tires in similar sizes or the traction will surely be different-
The tow hitches need to be at equal heights or the higher one raises the rear of the lower one also decreases traction...
But who cares about tug of war anyway, what a pointless exercise.

Though true, you could see the Ford smoking all 4 tires as the Tesla pulled it backwards... no further test is actually required because the specs speak for themselves... more hp, more tq, flat curves and traction. It's not Rocket Appliances.
