Sandy Munro has said multiple times that the Cybertruck is not a pickup truck. At first, I disagreed and wondered why he would say this, but I'm realizing he's right. It's MUCH more than a pickup truck. Think about it. You've got the following:

-Faster quarter-mile than a Dodge Hellcat, more comparable to a Lamborghini Huracan
-Better ground clearance than a Jeep Wrangler (by a large margin)
-1 more seat than your average family SUV
-Better efficiency than a Prius AND zero emissions
-More cubic feet of storage than an F150
-More payload capacity than a top tier F150

And MUCH more. For these reasons, I feel like the Cybertruck needs its own name or acronym for the vehicle segment it's creating. I'll start with a couple.

DEV: Do Everything Vehicle
MPV: Multi-Purpose Vehicle
MUT: Mega Utility Truck

Any other ideas?

Years ago there was a vehicle from Mazda called the MPV, so I can't vote for that one...it was a crossover vehicle and not very exciting.
XCV: eXtreme Capabilities Vehicle ?

Ok. despite what Sandy says, notice the vehicles he's chosen to compare the Cybertruck to.

If you asked me before the Cybertruck what a 'Pickup Truck' was I would defined by it's combination of passenger cab and a separate cargo area which is approximately 5-6 ft long, 4-5 ft wide and with a flat, utilitarian bottom.

It's a truck.

Now, that said, I sure do like the XTC moniker mentioned above. Extreme Truck Crossover or some such.

You could assume the same wordplay with the acronym of XDC also. Extreme Duty Crossover

I think it may usher in a new era of the pickup truck. But for me it's an SUV with a much more capable cargo area.

How about eTruck.
I know it's not dynamic but let's face it when the rest of the manufacturers catch up they will all have similar cargo storage, acceleration, off road capabilities etc, simply by being electric. Obviously they just won't have the awesomeness off style, but we are looking for a category for the others to join.
