They said it was difficult to do what they wanted, so they have a special alloy that crystalizes slowly. So they actually want it to cool as fast as possible, hence putting it out in the air as soon as possible.I do wonder the properties of their alloy, and what kinda post heat treats they do.
looked normal to me@ 0:19 there is a chunk of metal falling through the cast. Is that normal or was there a malfunction?
Same. Looks like the inlet (I'm sure there's a term for it) point on the casting breaking off. Where they inject the metal for the cast. Like injection molded plastic parts.looked normal to me
