It's closer to Austin than Hutto. But it looks harder to develop. No railroad tracks nearby. A river.

Exactly! It's a large site, but looks like a TON of work to develop. So if timelines are a factor, which Elon has said they are, this one kind of doesn't make sense. So until we hear something official from Tesla, which probably won't be until they actually announce the location, this could just be just another instance of local officials taking their swing.

The plot thickens! What are the odds they have options on this AND the Hutto site and just weighing incentives, etc. between the two? This would be a perfect time for the Hutto school board to jump in with a "hold my beer" tweet or sort of announcement.

Part of me think Elon is just being coy so that he gets to be the one to make the announcement.

Interesting there isn’t any Oklahoma site leaks. I am betting on Texas as it would be closer to the SpaceX facility.

Since I now live near Oklahoma City, I’d love to see the factory in Oklahoma. But I agree, I think it’s Texas.

Although I’ll still look to pick up my cybertruck at either location. With hopefully a factory tour.

Don't leave Tulsa out just yet.

From Bloomberg: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...-austin-texas-for-location-of-cybertruck-site

'Oklahoma Commerce Secretary Sean Kouplen said Thursday that the city of Tulsa is still a finalist and that the state has put forward a “responsible performance-based incentives package” to attract Tesla.
“We believe Oklahoma would be the right choice for Tesla,” Kouplen said in a statement. “We’re centrally located, we’re a pro-business state, our Automotive Engineer Workforce Tax Credit will benefit both Tesla and the engineers that they recruit and our amazing quality of life is a huge plus.”'

Also.....No reason to believe Austin has advantage over Tulsa in attracting Tesla, Oklahoma commerce secretary says https://www.tulsaworld.com/news/loc...cle_1f73a059-ec24-51e4-a6a0-9300530e87ce.html

Elon has said he will announce the final site at the end of July.
