Tesla, Electrify America, Rivian... should snap up some strategically located America wide shopping mall parking lots ( heck many are bankrupt, sitting empty, good pavement and have a good electrical set-up to start ) and put in charging stations that offer various speeds.

But Tesla with the CT and big rig coming out soon, could capitalize quite readily on the size aspect needed for these.

And the winner is ...?

Tesla! It's always Tesla! *crossing fingers*

I just drove by a hugely popular mall recently to see how it's doing, and I found it was actually closed down! Boards on windows all around, no trespassing tape, etc. What once was a thriving industry with HUGE real estate footprints is now becoming a ghost town, still with huge footprints. The land should be worth about $15mil at least though where I live!

I surveyed a few other malls around me, too. One was barely limping by with over half the store slots empty and many stores with final closeout signs (that's not good), and another looked okay but there were only a handful of shoppers on a Friday afternoon!

Where have people gone, you may ask? Me personally: Amazon.

So yeah, I'd love to see Amazon close their deal with Malls of America for warehouses in their empty anchor stores to get more use out of the big, old, rickety buildings! And Tesla SC's as well, because where I live it about 50min from the nearest one (but I'm still in the heart of a big city). Although I don't typically need a SC, it would be great to have as I've needed them in a pinch before! (destination chargers are plentiful but so slow in comparison).
