I'm not getting the truck for those reasons you listed above. I'm getting it because of the capabilities and it's time for me to setup my retirement vehicle. I plan on retiring in 8 years and I'm getting FSD because I'll need a vehicle to move me around after I can't drive any longer.

Or for someone like me that rarely hauls ATV or bikes they make t slot covers.

Like a sheet of flat stock Stainless steel the exact dimensions of the bed?

Well, I see that @Dids deleted his post before I could reply. But I guess they are metal (aluminum?) strips with prongs to grab the t-slot
I have plastic ones used in the empty channels of the 8020 extrusions on my CNC, but those aren't exactly t-slots. They might still work through. The plastic ones wouldn't pull up/out very easily though, so wonder if the ones Dids has are better for that.

That would cover them but I was talking about something like this. They also make ones that sit flat with deck. They are used on cnc machines

With something like those, you could cut a small section out for attachments to the T-Slots, or leave off the ones you want access to.

That's because I intended to post those post in the t slot thread instead of this one. I dont want to get wrapped up in "I ain't like you" because I am exactly like you and I know that's scary for some people.

Ah, I was wondering why that seemed out of left field! Will have to find that thread.... it's the #1 selling point on the truck for me!

So, this is an interesting topic. Vehicle exit and entry as a retiree. I have some thoughts on it, so I'm going to start another thread on it.
