Hey, I need a new car. More specifically, a Tesla. I am looking at both the Model 3 LR and the DM Cybertruck (I pre-ordered one because I'm leaning towards it). Ik, it seems like an odd comparison but I don't really care whether its a sedan or truck. Especially because the CB and M3 are similarly priced and have a similar range and acceleration.

Now the question to those who have driven it: Is it fast and does it drive like a Model 3 or does it feel slow? The 0-60 times are the same soooo idk... Thanks for any help!

If an M3 will satisfy you, no question. Get it now.
If you still want a Cybertruck in a year or two, get it (trade?).
No one outside of Tesla has driven a Cybertruck, so that point of view is not available.

To add to what Cyber_Dav wrote, the Model 3 LR AWD that you can buy now has a $2000 Performance Boost option that you can unlock at any time and makes it about 0.5 seconds faster in 0-60 MPH. The Cybertruck will not have that option at first, but could eventually be made faster through firmware updates if Tesla decides to do it. Tesla has made their cars faster through just a normal software update before (for free), and also the paid Performance Boost option.

If you know Jay Leno you can ask him. But that was just a prototype. We won't be able to really compare until some press or customers drive it in about 13 or 14 months (finger crossed).

People who were at the event said it felt super quick due to it's size(this was the dual motor).

If you've never driven a truck then buy the Model 3 or expect a lot of headaches(Lane keeping, parking, parking lots, drive thru's, car washes, etc). You get used to it but a car is a lot more nimble. I'm personally coming from a 2dr long box and that thing was easier to park than a smart car but you need a back up camera on a 4dr.
