yes you are being forced. If Tesla didn't reopen against the stay at home orders you would not be FORCED to decide between go to work and risk getting sick and possibly die, or stay at home (like you are supposed to) and not have any income at all, lose your home, food, etc.

There is no real choice here. Tesla is making the choice for their employees by reopening when they are not supposed to.

Don't know how much simpler i can make it than that.
So what do you gonna think will happen if these major companies, like Tesla, have to close down completely because the government kept them shut down to long? No more jobs.. not even the opportunity to go back to work.

It would also be nice if employees of big companies actually had the option of setting up their own small businesses and working for themselves to generate an income and live a family life. But that’s kind of hard to do when some politicians decide to criminalize going to work or going to school for reasons other than the best interests of people who elected them. When you go through life and pay attention you learn that their are at least two sides to every issue and no one individual is always right,

The White House had a very well thought out plan to keep the virus our of the west wing too.....now there are two people very close to the POTUS and VP that are sick....no plan that involves getting people together is perfectly safe.

Even doctors and nurses that are in head to toe PPE are catching it.

It is a terrible decision on Musk's part and i can only either chalk it up to corporate greed or making some kind of political statement. Both at the cost of their employees health.
That will be the calculus from this point on. Corona Virus and the Flu will continue to find a way to infect people. We can't avoid that completely unless we could somehow freeze every living person in place for about 3 weeks. So, the calculation becomes not IF you are going to open your factory but WHEN you are going to open it and under what circumstances. While it would be ideal to wait until a vaccine has been developed, it is unrealistic to expect the 1.7 Million people who work in the auto industry to sit around for a year waiting on a vaccine. If that is true, then manufacturers are going to open before then. At least Tesla has a well thought out plan for that eventual reopening.

Mr. Musk's decision to ignore the rule of law in Alameda County and to endanger workers for the sake of profit has led me to cancel my Cybertruck reservation. I was looking forward to having a Cybertruck, and I'm not trying to incite a flame war, but actions have consequences.
Just hope your resv. # is less than 124,000, if that's the case, thank you.

Hope getting arrested doesn’t interfere with his top secret clearance with spaceX
He got into a little trouble when he smoked that joint in that podcast
No, he didn't. That was fake news. Neither the Air Force nor any other agency gave a single **** about that.
