Hi. Does anyone know if I’ll be able to upgrade my Cybertruck pre order? I ordered the single motor and I am hoping to upgrade to the dual motor and hold on to the FSD $8k price. Thanks

Yes. Once the trucks start delivering, they will send you a request to finish your order.

If your model hasn't been assigned yet, they will try to upsell you.

So yes, they will try to get you to buy a dual if you had a single and a tri if you had a dual and the tri is shipping instead.

You just have to wait to hold onto the price. Right now, the ordering system isn't ready for that.

You're welcome!

I plan the same path.

And I'm taking this from how they've handled the orders of all other cars they've delivered: They have always tried to upsell at the configurator when people's lower models weren't yet available.

Personally, I believe that Tesla should NOT build a 2WD to protect the CT reputation as being "badass."

Can't have a Ford Escort from 40 years ago out-accelerating it from a stoplight just because the street has a light mist on it. More than embarrassing!

Don't care if someone can start faster from a stoplight. I will be enjoying my ride.

I preordered 3 CT, with each motor configuration. I will keep 2 of them, and gift single motor to my dad-in-law.

Most modern trucks have rear wheel drive problems due to less traction from uneven weight distribution. I don't think a 2 wheel drive CT will need sandbags in the bed for winter like most other trucks do because better weight distro with battery pack.

Yeah, it will have ride height and stiffness adjustment, plus that low down battery pack across the entire underside. Add that to minutely controllable electric torque and... It will be amazing.

Very generous, are you sure we are not related?
