Cyber truck delayed production

I’m wondering now how long we will have to wait for our Cyber Trucks, that we have deposited $$ on, since COVID - 19 has shut down production ! Another year past the original 2022/23? Might be looking at 2024/25?? Well may help me save more !!

Good question I've been wondering the same. Did you see this helpful video posted over the weekend which discusses this exact question due to Covid -- Analysis: Will Tesla Have to Delay Cybertruck Production / Launch?

I think customer deliveries won’t happen until Q1 2022 at the earliest.

My guess is Tesla had already picked Austin based on executive transfer living preferences and had city leadership sign a non-disclosure agreement until Tesla made the official announcement.

My thought: Tesla will announce a location for this Giga at their 4-20-2020 Battery Investor Day. Why on Battery day? Because the CT requires lots of batteries and its likely that Panasonic will continue to build batteries at Giga Nevada for current cars made in the USA. Tesla will announce that they will make their own batteries starting with the CT in Giga Texas (or nearby). This will be huge! Literally!

You seem to have responded to a thread from April. Tesla purchased land outside Austin, TX and began work there late in July. There are drone flyovers almost every day on YouTube.

After watching Battery Day, Elon’s new battery cell being about 5 times more capacity and over 50 percent reduction in cost and space saving, I look forward to watching Sandy Munro’s next video on calculating the future pack size as it points to a lot less weight and the number of cells required to make a battery pack. Hopefully that means a tremendous weight reduction for the CT which will increase load capacity, range plus acceleration and possibly the price!
