Advance release C2 Cybertruck: Due to the obvious popularity of the dual motor edition, should Tesla early release ten per month?

With only around 15% opting for the single motor, it wouldn't surprise me to see that option eliminated. Dual motor gives better tire wear and higher efficiency.

It will be Tesla's first pickup truck, a new exoskeleton design, new 3mm thick stainless steel, new assembly plant, new production machinery, newbie factory workers, pilot production, etc. I predict Tesla will manufacture well under 10k CT's in 2021. I feel production won't ramp up until Q2 of 2022.

I think Elon nailed it when he said building a prototype is fairly easy but scaling the vehicle for high volume production is difficult.

You can longer order the $35k Model 3. It's been pulled according to an Electrek article.

Yes, although the 'Standard Range Plus' without options is now $38k, which brings it very close to that $35k promised number.

For the longest time, the low-price option was based upon walk-in localities - some places only have incentives for cars that start at certain prices.

Of course! It's become clear some of us can't wait to get our hands on our new Cybertruck, so to be fair, we'll just start with... ME!

Since it’s an Omaha suburb, I am good with that plan.
I absolutely agree! have they published how many will have to roll off the line to get the worst bugs worked out?

I don't think any manufacturer could predict that!

Expect too, during the first phase of manufacture; the processes and first few final units will be checked closely for consistency from one to the next, fit, finish, and overall feel. Then, Ramp 1. Resample. If good, move to Ramp 2. If not acceptable, adjust, resample. When good, Ramp 2. Resample.... Final Production Speed - This could take the first week, the first month, or first 3 months. I have no clue of Tesla's typical length to build up to final ramped build speed; but even then, the CyberTruck will very likely be different. This truck is going to get A LOT of attention - critics, lovers, haters, undecideds, and others. peace

The CT trimotor and dual motor may initially have higher reservations so it does make sense to produce at first the most CT in demand but I think Elon will want to start the single motors as soon as possible not just to fill the reservations but business who use 1/2T trucks in their line of work will want to start changing their fleet over to EV's to greatly reduce the cost of operations. I am sure some business will use tri motors and dual motors but I think the bulk will want the single motor. Most companies use a basic truck single cab 2 wheel drive for the task at hand. Tesla wants to replace all ice trucks, it's his mission to get all versions of CT online. Me personal I ordered a Dual motor but I still have not made up my mind about a tri motor. I have time and would like to see how a dual motor and tri motor perform in real world conditions.

Many businesses in southern part of U.S. & Mexico where it does not normally snow in the winter probably only want RWD. We are primarily in Texas & Mexico and single motor RWD is what I plan to buy for our fleet. I only reserve 2 single motor Cybertrucks now but hope to buy many more later.

Of the total reservations, the percent of buyer for single motor should increase significantly once truck buyers see Cybertrucks are out there & are real things. The single motor Cybertruck has more power than the base model ICE trucks which are all single ICE motors.

Single motor buyers are a little more restrained. They want to see Cybertruck in real-life, demo it, know neighbors that have one. Also many fleet buyers will buy single motor. They are not going to reserve now for 10 or 100 trucks. They will only reserve one now.
I would get laughed out of the room if I went to the CFO asking for 1,000 to $3,000 for reservations for trucks I have never seen personally (and almost nobody else has either, only a few hundred saw it at the reveal) and these trucks would not be delivered until 2-3 years in the future. Right now I had to spend my own money for two Cybertruck reservations but the trucks are actually for the company. I know enough not to bother the CFO yet.

Single motor & dual motors with more range options please.
