In the new Beta FSD it can be seen that the FSD evades debris on the road....
so it might lift the car to make more room for unavoidable smale fast objects crossing the road.
???? and ?
Nothing personal shaneaus? :
Sorry but I get a bit fed up with "it is too big / huge for Europe" comments.
Especially since a lot of people blowing into that horn have never driven in Europe..........or out side of their country. (still nothing personal shaneaus, ???)
Just let us decide what...
Your are close to 100% right.... but it was not only stiffness through structural pack....
Just look at the asking price. ?
At CT reveal nobody new how they will be able to pull that off, big batterys where too expensive every body thought....
Then eventually came battery day and our...
Just a thought that is running around in my head :
Not all parts will be "stainless steel", hence EXOskeleton.
There will be lots of alluminum e.g. : battery structual casting ?, suspention, eventually internal (stamped) parts.
Even door hinges and other smale bits will most likely not...
I would preferr the CT to be licensed (in Germany) as a (light duty) truck.
To achive that the "cargo bed length" must be longer than the length of the "passenger compartment", and seperated of course.
A Wolverine "fun" truck with a "short bed" is not a suitable solution.
At the moment BEV are...
For you it is (still?) a fantasy (picking up a car oversea) but I did it twice.
My grandmother always told me: Later in life you will only regret what you did not do.......
In 1995 I had bought a new Chevy K15000 (6,5l Diesel) in Madison, WI and drove it, via "the scenic route" including...
It is a shame that GiGa Austin (and the 4680) build/ramp up are still a year away.
(significant numbers..).
The Design Team has to keep some of their "powder dry", to surprise the first customers, with some thing new in 2021.
Thus the "competition" will be left in the dark, until they (their...
Swarm intelligence is great... I had missed this EV typical layout (I still drive ICE, mea culpa)
If the Cabin is big enought and the bed can be "elongated", into the rear passenger space (if needed), then a over all shorter version could be tempting.
The design studio has a tall order to...
Maybe some of you have missed this solution:
Get the original CT and maybe a trailer too.
It is for work (and fun), there you will need the size, allways.
Order it now and save money on FSD while it is "cheap".
Use those funds, saved now, to by a smale Tesla, when it becomes available,
at...
Well Elons way of telling FSD price will go up an delivering on the promiss (as he often does;)) worked again......
It boosted Tesla sales.
All though I had ordered 2 CT early (with FSD), yesterday I decided to "add" a third.
This time a single motor with FSD, for local use (range/speed not...
I have driven the Honda e it has fantastic "camera mirrows". (y) ?
The monitors have a very sharp picture are where you expect them and where they should be.
They have even incorporated "guide lines" for backing up, like rear center camera systems.
Did you know that they are STANDART...
This is correct for new drivers.... and most other parts of europe.
But in Germany all people who made their car licence (Klasse 3) last century (like me) are allowed to drive vehicles up to 7.5 metric tons + tow a heavy trailer.
Bringing the total CGVW above 11 metric tons (>14+ ton with...
@Crissa
It fellt different for me.... why? :
I was told in writing the model Y would be delivered eraly 2021....... that is, at least for a picky german, the first 2 quarters 21.
Erverything else would be miosleading for me.
I doubt that the factory in Berlin will be churning out Model Ys en...
@Crissa
You are rigth, but if a (cyber)truck has been licensed in one EU Part, like more than a few million Full size trucks, e.g. F250- RAM etc.. roaming the streets here today, you can drive them throught out the rest of Europe.
That is called "Freedom of Movement for peopel and goods"...
@OneLapper
Thank you for the link. You saved a lot of people time searching for it. (y)
The fact that TESLA has all ready a solution patented is awesome.
This system will work (even at a short stop, e.g. red traffic light) with out being worn down while driving (seals!).
It is another smale...
Good Idea ! And combine it with a factory tour.
It is common practice, of the all major car and truck OEMs, here in Germany since more than 1/2 a century.........
Especially for trucks, e.g. firetrucks are picked up by the whole voluntary brigade.......
If you pick up your new truck at...
If you start to polish it.......whatch out: it can be adictive
ask somebody using Aluminum wheels or boats..... (not for work nessesary though)
But steal is much more work to polish.
Looks great. :D
But I would preferr to have the blades ABOVE me....
I do not mind the wind but, in an accident, I would like to enjoy the free fall.
Even if it is my last joy in live...?
