They have more than a million CT reservations. There's no way they already optioned all that stainless steel. So some of the reservation holders will certainly see a price increase.
I will travel to different municipalities and demonstrate my Cybertruck to Police Departments, and then share my Tesla referral code with them. Profit.
If I have stuff that slid deep in the front of the vault, it would be nice if the CT had a mode where it lowers the back (like it did for Cyberquad) and wiggles vibrates the suspension a bit so all my stuff slides to the back for an easy offloading :))))
I believe that's a wrong way to look at it. The incentive is to give advantage in buying EV vs ICE. If someone has 90k to spend on a vehicle why would he choose a 90k BEV vs an equally performant (let's say in total cost of ownership) 89k ICE vehicle?
While we wait for more news, let's try to guess the date of the Cybertruck update release. Hopefully the "in a month or so" happens soon enough! My guess is January 15.
As someone leaving in the North, this is my biggest fear of owning a Tesla. But as you have said Crissa, hopefully, Tesla will have fixed it by the time Cybertrucks are rolling out.
To be frank, I would prefer my Cybertruck to have Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries instead of other more...
I wouldn't be surprised if Tesla scraps in the future the one-time FSD purchase altogether and offers subscription only FSD. For most customers this makes more sense since the majority don't keep their cars forever.
Although I don't think our FSD reservations are in any danger.
I am not concerned. The difference is Tesla has Elon Musk, Apple unfortunately doesn't have Steve Jobs anymore. Whatever Apple is claiming as revolutionary will probably be regular in 2024. Then it will be a 10 year development project, that speed of development would be unacceptable for Steve Jobs.
