And where is that 8-Track player now? More importantly, where is the Landcruiser?

First, kids got nothing to do but talk. And talk is cheap. I taught science in a high school. Very rarely could a student discuss two-sides of a position because they sought the answer they wanted. And they didn't measure the "facts" in relation to the source.
But then again, many of them never change.
As to Canadians dissing EV's for a lack of range.... well if they live in "wilderness" Canada then they got a pretty good reason to have a negative opinion of BEV's. Long distances and "very few" chargers.

Sure, but that's what you're there to teach them...........

Unfortunately that is what most parents and now society believes.
What are parents supposed to teach their children?
I was a science teacher. I taught within the Scientific Method.
Fortunately after three years I got out. Those that stay in teaching don't love teaching. They are stuck. And pretend to make it something it isn't. Just as society does.
But that isn't what this thread is about, so I will not respond any further on the state of decay of the American Public and publics schools in general.
It is TOO far off topic.

I will say that the Cyber goes exactly with how Big Ee wanted to develop the Tesla Brand.

Teaching is about how to learn. Understanding transcends those details.............

Even in semi civilized areas it is hard to find a charger. The closest super charger is 400km from me. Our biggest city in Saskatchewan does not even have a super charger yet.

How is it where you live (obviously Californians are more in the know).
I spend the winters in northern Virginia where I am 4 miles away from a service center and within 25 miles of perhaps 4 or 5 super chargers. A Tesla around here produces about as much excitement as a corrupt politician. If I do get a question it's usually "Which model do you have?" and the response to my answer is usually "Great, we just got an X", "We are thinking of getting a 3" or in one case "My husband is the manager of the SC". I expect to see from 1-6 other Teslas on any errand about town.

We spend summers in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. The nearest Service Center is in Montreal about 100 miles distant and the nearest Super Charger about 30 miles away. Nonetheless I am not the only Tesla owner on my rural dirt road with perhaps 25 houses total. Sightings are much rarer (except at and near the Super Charger) but we do see them. While the setting is rural most of the people there are urbanites who have summer/weekend "cottages" (as they call them - some of these "cottages" sell for millions of $) and so they seem to know what Teslas and other BEV's are. Quebec is very big on green so they push battery cars a lot so maybe part of the awareness comes from that.

Across the border in Vermont it is rural poor. I have never seen another Tesla there. There are only three superchargers in the whole state and no store/service center. There is one J1772 charger is a small town about 15 miles south and a handful of Tesla destination chargers at a ski hill some 20 miles west. A Tesla there doesn't attract much attention even in the Walmart Parking lot with the FWD's up. The exception is, of course, small boys: "Wow - Tesla!".

I was at a superbowel party at friends combined neighborhood and work party with lots of people there. At one point, someone came around approaching tables saying;
“Hey who owns the black tesla outside?” I thought at the time it must be blocking a driveway or something. After the game, I asked the owner, a friend of mine from work- hey what was that all about? He felt kinda of embarrassed, he’s not he kind of a guy that likes to draw any attention to himself- extremely humble. Sheepishly he replied, “ Oh there’s some boys (a group of 6 pre teen boys) that wanted to go for a ride in it. He’s not the type of guy to say no to that, even during the super bowel, so he Took them for a ride - apparently they loved it and just kept talking about it. I was in the man cave basement with the other dads watching the game while the moms and kids “watched the game” upstairs. The moms all sitting and talking while the game went on, and the kids were being kids, playing, running around, and screaming. Which is why I had to ask what had happened.

The Tesla brand is known in Saskatchewan however it is kinda pitied for its lack of range and ignored as a possible vehicle for use. The CT will be ignored for the most part because it looks so different. Here is a video further explaining my point.
I am going to be the talk of coffee row for this purchase.
It reminds me a lot of Red Green except way faster...and the trucks are in better shape than the Possum Van.

I work as a Plant Manager at a high school and I was invited to speak to a business class in regards to the current EV market, batteries, Tesla and such. One of the students asked me if I was interested in the CyberTruck and I said yes and gave my reasons, within 2 hours of that particular class random kids were stopping me in the hallway and commenting on my choice with a big approval, some of the kids get it. Looking forward to sharing with the Driver's Ed Class when my truck arrives so the rest might understand. To make a point with the kids I shared my history on my Honda Accord, paid cash for it in 1998 around $20,000, averaged my fuel cost for the 500,000 miles I have driven it, around $20,000, cost to maintain it, you guessed it and I have all the receipts, around $20,000. I told them I cannot afford to drive an ICE vehicle as my next ride I have to go EV, it's cheaper in the long run. Yes, I could have gone with the Model 3 but I am saying goodbye to my truck and sedan and replacing them with ONE ride in the garage.
My rationale is similar. I am looking at the cost of the Cybertruck as the money I would spend on the next two vehicles I would need to purchase and maintain.
