Will Cybertruck put Tesla on the radar for the common man?

It may surprise you, it certainly surprises me, but most people I work with have little to no idea about Tesla cars. I work in a hospital in northern Minnesota in a area that is very “Green” and environmentally friendly. I work in the operating room, and throughout the hospital and have for over a decade. Without going into too much detail I have contact/ conversations with over 200 people in the space of a week or two. 95% have little to no idea about Tesla. Sure some of the 95% know Tesla sells cars; a few more know it’s a EV, but are clueless to what that is.
BecauseTesla doesn’t advertise. I think the CyberTruck, on the open road, is going to raise Tesla awareness/EV awareness to a game changing new level. It’s not going to be just another (insert color here) colored vehicle on the road-something that they just don’t notice. With the Cybertruck, the “what is that!?” Factor raises the awareness/ curiosity and opens the door to a lot more talk about EV’s and Tesla. at least in my area.
(note: there are 5-8 Tesla’s in out lot, all models represented, yet most didnt know they were EV till the owners and I talked about them.
am I alone in these thoughts?
How is it where you live (obviously Californians are more in the know).

The Tesla brand is known in Saskatchewan however it is kinda pitied for its lack of range and ignored as a possible vehicle for use. The CT will be ignored for the most part because it looks so different. Here is a video further explaining my point.
I am going to be the talk of coffee row for this purchase.

Yes, I have run into that mentality myself. It seems too many people don't bother to learn much outside their comfort zone until either they are forced to out of necessity or someone spoonfeeds them new information, (Advertisements). Can I use the word: Lemmings?

I built an energy-efficient ICF house (by my standards and budget) in 2006. My total HVAC power cost for this past year was only $168 because I invested time and effort to find out what works well and what I could afford, it was not difficult but it took a little time and effort. Most folks I run into settle for the "Walmart" mentality on several facets of their lives: education, housing, employment, transportation, vacations and so forth. Once I asked a middle-aged couple that were pouring over their blueprints for a new house at a local restaurant, what the heat load calculations and estimated cost to cover HVAC needs and they looked at me like I was from Mars, it was obviously more important to them that they find the right color for the guest bathroom rather than how much it was going to cost to manage the house for the rest of the building's service life, yet this same couple will cry each month when the power bill arrives because of the "outrageous" gouging from the mean old power company. People look around and do what the "Jones" are doing or try to keep up with them so they feel they "fit in". Folks like to stay under the radar I guess. :(

I work at a small critical access hospital in rural eastern Montana, in Miles City. No Teslas other than my Model 3 in Miles City, that I know of. In fact, we have, by estimates, only 20-30 Teslas in Billings, the biggest city in the state. In any case, without me saying a word, and within a few days of showing up, my Model 3 was the talk of the hospital, even local law enforcement knows/talks about my Tesla. There is already interest/discussion about the Cybertruck. Point is I've been more than a bit surprised at the level of interest/knowledge about Teslas in rural Montana. Course I'm sampling mostly employed professionals.

I work as a Plant Manager at a high school and I was invited to speak to a business class in regards to the current EV market, batteries, Tesla and such. One of the students asked me if I was interested in the CyberTruck and I said yes and gave my reasons, within 2 hours of that particular class random kids were stopping me in the hallway and commenting on my choice with a big approval, some of the kids get it. Looking forward to sharing with the Driver's Ed Class when my truck arrives so the rest might understand. To make a point with the kids I shared my history on my Honda Accord, paid cash for it in 1998 around $20,000, averaged my fuel cost for the 500,000 miles I have driven it, around $20,000, cost to maintain it, you guessed it and I have all the receipts, around $20,000. I told them I cannot afford to drive an ICE vehicle as my next ride I have to go EV, it's cheaper in the long run. Yes, I could have gone with the Model 3 but I am saying goodbye to my truck and sedan and replacing them with ONE ride in the garage.

Interesting how fast the word of your planned purchase traveled , the younger generation readily adapts to change. My moms VCR would still be blinking the wrong time, like it did for years, if she still had it. ( Yes, I fixed it, but a thunderstorm would always knock it out if wack).

I was playing poker last weekend and mention the Tesla CT and that I had a deposit on one. One of the guys said "That proves that you have more money than brains"; I just laughed at him.

I hear some people used to put tape over the blinking "12:00", just saying for a friend.

Take the poker gang on a QUICK trip on the Interstate and see if they get the "Tesla Grin" at about 2.9 seconds later.

I'm still trying to decide the best spot to mount my 8-Track tape player in my Model 3. Any advice?

How about the Frunk? Years ago I mounted one inside my Landcruiser's glove box to keep it clean, sometimes you have to think outside the box. It was a Pioneer Supertuner, and I remembered where all the track changes were in the middle of some songs.
