I've seen this guy before... Didn't you link to him before CtGuy?

-Crissa
CTTGuy is the guy in the video. He is self posting his own video.

His videos are really good too by the way. I’d certainly recommend his YouTube channel.

Well, anyone who did a 'review' of a display model that was given them a sneak preview exclusive content is kinda by definition a shill.

I wonder if GM required editorial control... Because they had told the other news and EV places they weren't going to show anyone.

Yes, I was asking if he'd done a reaction to Doug before.

Doug does make one point... when tesla announces something their stock price drops for a few days and then goes back up. I think this is due to cutting edge and people don't understand and it takes some time to get a good sense of where Tesla is going. At first I thought Tesla should consider having someone other than Elon do the presentations since he isn't a great communicator... I have to watch presentations several times and there is still stuff he said that I didn't retain... then I realized actually this is a great strategy... it creates controversy and people debate the presentations, in effect they become water cooler conversations.

This was his earlier response in January.

Yeah! I wonder how I saw his first video?

i know I'm not a truck people. But gosh I said yes to all but three of your things on your list! I haven't tried to use a truck to run around all day (that is exhausting. When I followed my uncle to work - he worked the UP as a infrastructure maintenance supervisor - I had to bail by noon 'cause damn that was exhausting! Up before dawn on midsummer's day? X-x). I haven't ever bought more than I could afford, and most of what I've hauled is much smaller... But that's still going to easily give you too little oomph to load and having to turn on the heater to keep the mountains from killing your ride while it's so hot out I had never felt that kinda heat.

I always thought of truck guys as function over form. Yeah, lots of them do fall in love with big what they call pretty trucks and it doesn't work out. But it's because their capability is what mattered.

And it seems to me, that's what Tesla is doing here. No one else is coming close to my list of items except Lordstown, and I don't even think those trucks will ever see retail.

I had watched both of Doug’s reviews. Pretty obvious by my affiliation here I did not agree with his CT analysis. His crap-tastic review of Hummer EV left me more disgusted by both the shill factor and his exaggerated enthusiasm, not to mention him talking out of both sides of his mouth. That will be one YT channel I avoid in the future as I cannot trust the review to be impartial or truthful.

Todd, you did a good rebuttal.

Doug was very inconsistent in his opinions of the two vehicles. He was skeptical of everything about the Cybertruck, yet believed everything about the Hummer. This despite GM having yet to build an actual working Hummer prototype. Reeked of being bought off. It certainly lowered my opinion of his opinion.

I stopped watching Doug's videos a long time ago.. First off I find him annoying but I would watch because felt like he was giving an honest review. Now it seems as if he is just a pawn. "THE HUMMER IS AWESOME BECAUSE I SAID SO AND GM HELPS PAY MY BILLS"

This is the INTERNET folks. It is for entertainment (EDIT - See #17 below) and porn. Consider it a source of useful information at your peril.

You keep repeating this. Where are you getting your info besides the internet?
Scholarly papers (some accessed through the intrernet, of course), textbooks, journals, 50 years experience as an electrical engineer, experiment, analysis, simulation, hands on experience with Tesla vehicles, design of solar systems....
