5.5 Foot vs 6.5 Foot Bed

How do you guys feel about a 5.5 foot bed trim option vs the current 6.5 foot bed?

It would effectively make the Cybertruck a whole foot shorter.

For reference all Ford Raptors (Supercab and Crewcab) only come with the 5.5 foot bed option.

I voted for 5.5 ft, but I might change my mind when it comes to see the CT in person (go big or go home kind'a feeling).

I mean it's still just as wide. Shorter wheelbase would improve turn radius and breakover point while shorter overall makes it easier in parking lots. Also weight savings in less material needed which translates to slightly less cost.

I vote 6.5 just because my Honda Ridgeline is 5.5 and there have been more than a few times where I was wishing it was longer.

6.5 foot is mandatory for me and any truck. I won't even look at nor consider a truck with a 5.5 foot bed.

I think this really depends on your situation. For myself I own a home and have a rental. I need a truck for dump runs and moving household items like refrigerator, water heaters and etc....so this question is very personal. There is no right answer.

I vote for 8 foot.

Plywood, drywall, everything from Home Depot, etc is usually sold in 8 foot sheets.

Standard size work truck bed is 8 feet.

A mid gate and 5 ft bed, means over 8ft sheets can be carried inside the vault,
around 10 ft or 11 ft lengths with the tailgate down

P.S. its not a one or the other proposition.
The 6.5ft bed Cybertruck is being built, if that suit you, enjoy,
but a 2nd smaller version has been confirmed is in the works,
and if that suits you great, if not, and you can wait, the 3rd version is the Cybertruck Canyonero

Yeah but I'm getting it purely for fun and performance. And a 5.5 foot bed allows it more agility off road.

5.5 ft bed would mean a lot of people would have to keep the tailgate down for motorcycles / quads. seems like a no-go to me.
Also average male hieght in US is 5.7ft i think, not being to sleep in the bed comfortable also is a no-go, for me at least

Maybe we should have a vote to make it as slow as the raptor too... Just leave it alone. 6.5 feet. I vote 6.5 feet all day long.

I'm guessing this is because it doesn't fit in someone's garage?...
