That would be BRILLIANT.

I was expecting and would have been more than happy if the window stayed in place, and the opening was only up to the bottom of the rear window.

I believed a structural crossmember was needed immediately underneath the window.
Especially to achieve the enormous load and towing capacity it comes with.

That would now mean about 12ft long cargo, that can also be quite tall !

Yep, that’s why I would be very happy with a 208 inch long Cybertruck,
that could still carry 10 ft long items !

8 ft, with the tailgate closed, and totally secure under cover of the vault.

P.S. My dog would love that set up. . . . actually with Level 5 FSD ,
I could put in a mattress, pillows and hang out with the dog . . .
maybe even a small upper deck / terrace balcony, that I'll use when I retract the tonneau.

Its A structure point but probably not a needed one. The Avalanche does the exact same thing. If they go this way I hope they can make it flat unlike the Avalanche.

The cover is in that back wall so if you fold it down you cannot close the cover. Otherwise I love the idea.

Maybe the seats can be removed first, then the back wall lowered. This would be a great option. Similar to the Avalanche.

It gives a ton more storage and camping options.

If it is a true exoskeleton, then a internal panel should not be needed for structural intgrity.

Exactly I fail to see how the cover operates if the wall is folded down.

Yeah my biggest concern is that the cover wouldn’t be able to roll in there or fit especially with the rear window rolled down into it also, but if you could somehow make this work it would be absolutely fantastic. You could sleep in it and have the comfort of air-conditioning and easy access to everything up front.
